We need a new Beacon Gym Leader

Oh man! I went and made a list of Normal Types and Electric Types. Just to see what a Electric/Normal Type Gym Leader would have to play with. There is so much potential there. I got move-sets and Type combinations galore bouncing ideas threw my head. My head is just about to explode. I am so close to stopping my super bug project farm, just to build a team of Normal/Electrics. You know the message you get when a Croagunk with the ability anticipation enters a fight with against a Pokemon that ha a Psychic move, well any move that is super effective against Croagunk? Yeah that is what I am feeling. I am honored that I have had so many people tell me I would make a good Gym Leader. Well a few have threw Post and PMs. I wish there was a Pokemon IQ test out there somewhere. Some test that could be broken down into categories like Pokemon Breeder, Pokemon Trainer, Pokemon Hunter, Pokemon Battler, and Pokemon Master. O.M.G. I have to stop thinking or I will try to make up that test he-he.

That's why I made a Normal Type Tournament. There are so many choices for a unique battling experience. Ever since rad version, my favorite types has been electric! I used to have an unbeatable EV trained Raichu and Jolteon, but my bro gave them away without telling me....sigh......but yeah...I'm excied about who Steve picks...although I'd prefer a tournament to give pegple who haven't attempted to earn any badges a chance to show what they are made of.

Yeah that is a good idea. I wouldn't be able to do a tournament anyway though. I would have to build up a team, which would not take to long, maybe a week or 2. I just see huge huge potential with a team in this Gym. You could iake about 80 different teams. You could build anything from huge HP pool team to a Speed Freak Team and still be able to successfully counter your Pokemons weaknesses and dish out major damage. I know that can be said of any Gym, but if You look at the Tgp 100 Pokemon in each Stat Class, man this Gym would be could be rough.

Do you mean Pure Electrics and Pure Normals or any combination just as long as it has Electric and Normal Typing? I am pretty sure the Gym rules for it's Gym Leaders is 3 Electric Types and 3 Normal Types for their team and then can have combo types as long as it meets the 3 and 3 rule.

But I am putting an Electric & Normal Type team down on paper, er well Microsoft Word, now he-he.

No, I meant any combination....and wait a sec....its 6 vs 6 battles for gym battles....i thought it was Lvl 50 3 vs 3...oh well....all that means is that it will take much longer to breed the right pokemon....but mayb the tourny should be 3 v 3 so we don't give up all our key pokemon in the tourny in case one of becomes leader. And it will take less time to prepare.

I prefer Excel over Word when organzing or arranging everything. When I record and calculate IVs or plan a team/pokemon's moveset, Excel helps keep everything organzied better. Word works good too....but I have to take time out to color code everything for me to able to interpre the data.

Yeah, but the idea as a Gym Leader is to be able to take what people know and beat them with it. O.K. Say I am the Electric/Normal Beacon Gym Leader. You know everyone will bring Ground Types and Fight Types, then eventually other Types if you have combo Type Pokemon. So how can you ever beat a Ground Type with your Electric Pokemon, well teach them Water, Grass, or Ice Type moves. Hmm, Electabuzz can learn Ice Punch along with Fire and Thunder Punch. Oh I mentioned Normal and Fight Types. Well how do you stop the extra damage from a Fight Type, that is right a Normal/Flying Type. No worries there, you know that there is not going to be an Electric Type brought to this party, so Flying is O.K. Mix and match. I would have atleast 8-12 Pokemon as a Gym Leader, FTW yeah Gym Leaders can switch Pokemon between Battles. People talk, how did you get past his Snorlax. What Snorlax, he/she didn't use a Snorlax. Gotta Keep them on their toes.

Na I can name a few other people that would be great at it. I don't know if they would like the Type for this Gym. I know some people think the Normal and Electric Types are lack luster compared to some of the Types, but there are so many Normal and Electric Types that it is hard to make them all standout.

I still say there are better candidates. I can name 3 right now Gamegeezer, nagib_253, and Celph77 all like to battle. I have heard of Gamegeezer and nagib battling all over the place. Celph is a good battler as well and likes to play around with breeding and move-sets. that is 2 battle hardened battlers and a battler that can breed and use his own Pokemon.

Ah...I prefer electric types actually....with one of those berries that make ground types do less effective damage, an electric type has no weaknesses...and has resistance to electric, flying and steel....it's sort of like an electric spiritbomb....with high speical attack and speed. I favor normal types as well because they have the most diverse move sets and can create some crazy and rare combination of moves that no one will be expecting. Put these 2 types together on a team, and you are untouchable (to a certain degree)

O.K. that made me giggle and I never giggle. I don't use OMG the same way a high school cheerleader would, Like OMG, you know real cheery like. I also don't use it in the classic 80's sense, like O MG. I usually use it in the sense of OMFG. Also did I mention that my main character from Ultima Online is a female tamer, so I use to role play as a female. I know I R Weird.

I just sent my application in. It took some pushing, but I figured what the heck. Everyone thinks I can do the job well. Good luck to you. Everyone I see that applied for it, I think is better qualified then I am. I honestly think that. I know Types and what moves that can hurt them, but I am a breeder.

Wow. I am speechless. I just woke up after a long night of tweaking my Team I was going to use for the Gym. Holy :(:(:(:( I have 12 Join request already. I promise you I will get to you all. Today I have a family get together. I will hold atleast 2 or 3 Gym Battle days this week. Plus if the days I choose are not good for someone, I will make it when they can. My initial team is not super, but they are coming along. So I will be changing my team a few times to work in the ones I am currently breeding.

I am just so completely surprised. I thank everyone for their support.
