~ Epilogue ~
In Memory of a Dear Fiend

It is a beautiful morning in the Shinnoh region and the construction of the Hidden Valley Ranch is coming along nicely. I think it’s safe to say that the new farm should be up and running in a few weeks.
Nikolatesla is currently away on business and Momtaro took off on another one of her adventures shortly after construction started. Nana has been busy working on the finishing touches for her new nursery room while simultaneously cooking up a storm in the kitchen. She took it upon herself to make sure that everyone helping us is well fed.
As for me, I’m doing okay. I’ve been busy overseeing the construction of the Hidden Valley Ranch and have also been working on another “project”. Your see just before I flew to the Shinnoh region I received news that a good friend of mine had passed away after a long fight with an incurable disease. I met him at the Pokefarm’s University and thought that going to the class reunion would help me to cope with his passing. His name was Professor Filo Viridae and he was the founder of The P.O.K.E.R.U.S. Project.
What’s that you say? You haven’t heard of The P.O.K.E.R.U.S. Project? Well I’m sure that you or your friend’s have come across one of Filo’s Pokémon. Have you ever seen a Pokémon that has a little purple tag on it like this http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee170/toys4life2/Hidden%20Valley%20Ranch/PKRSTag-1.gif? If you look closely at the inscription on the tag you will see that http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee170/toys4life2/Hidden%20Valley%20Ranch/PKRSTag-1.gif stands for Pokémon Kin Re-entering Society. Those little purple tags were used by Filo to help track the migration patterns of Pokémon that he had helped.
The P.O.K.E.R.U.S. Project stands for the Placement Of Kind-hearted Exiles Re-entering Urban Society. Filo grew up close to Outcast Island in the Kanto region and would get in trouble whenever he was caught sneaking to the island. Outcast Island received its name because people used to abandon their unwanted or “bad” Pokémon on the beaches of that island. Filo couldn’t believe that bad Pokémon existed so he would travel to the island to see for himself if it was true. What he found was that the Pokémon on the island weren’t bad at all; they were simply misguided or misunderstood.
Filo Viridae dedicated his life to helping these Pokémon that had been shunned by their communities and banished to Outcast Island. He always said “There is no such thing as a bad Pokémon, only Pokémon that have done bad things and deserve a second chance.” He proved that with his project, and now so will I.
As Nana and I pursued the thieving Shuppets my thoughts kept wandering to my friend. If Filo had been here I know what he would be doing. He would be looking at what these Pokémon were doing and find a way to help them. When NikolaTesla suggested that the four of us join together to form the Hidden Valley Ranch I knew exactly what I needed to do. So I agreed to stay in Shinnoh and made it my project to help the misguided and misunderstood Pokémon in this area.
Of course the first Pokémon I planned to help was the Shuppets that had caused us so much trouble. When we found them from under the Ironworks debris, Officer Jenny took them into custody. Once I was able to build a training facility in my section of the farm I convinced Officer Jenny to release them under my close supervision. It took a lot of hard work, but in the end I think we accomplished something great. I can’t take all the credit for this group of Shuppets; they had a lot of natural raw talent. All I did was give them a purpose for their skills and abilities. Each of these Thieving Shuppets was born with an Adamant nature and has the natural ability to Frisk other Pokémon to see if they are carrying an item. Obviously each one of them knows how to use Thief, but they have also mastered the moves Shadow Sneak, Will-O-Wisp, and Sucker Punch. All of these moves are very advanced for these little rascals and from what I have seen have helped them on more than one occasion. Also each of these Pokémon will randomly be holding an item that they stole from us throughout this whole adventure. They could be holding Magmarizers, Various Vitamins, Lucky Eggs, Oval Stones, or the Shinx’s Light Ball.
Hopefully our friends at the Pokefarm will give these Shuppets a second chance. Just like Filo Viridae I have attached the http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee170/toys4life2/Hidden%20Valley%20Ranch/PKRSTag-1.gif tags to each of the Shuppets. Most Pokémon enjoy the tags and wear them with pride but if you don’t have these Pokémon back in the computer before midnight they will remove the tags. http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee170/toys4life2/Hidden%20Valley%20Ranch/PKRSSmile.gif
Thanks everyone for your continued effort to help the members of the Hidden Valley Ranch find good homes for our Pokémon.
Until next time!
