As some of you may know Turnback Cave has lv 44-46 54-56 and 64-66 lv pokemon in different areas.

Here is a list of pokemon in the cave!

Haunter
Bronzong
Bronzor
Golbat
(Remind me if ive gone wrong)

These are very good from training pokemon with or without a Lucky Egg. One problem with Turnback Cave is its very complicated to make your way to the lv 64-66! But recently travelling though there ive found that this method is fast!

First off when you first go into the cave go through the Top Door. Then just follow this easy method.

1st Go through the Left Door
2nd Go through the Top Door
3rd Same again Through the Top Door

Each time you do this a new patter of rock should appear! When you reach a room with rocks scattered you are in the lv 64-66 room.

Important to remember- Unless you are leaving NEVER go through the Back Door.

Its off that little passage on the route down from Veilstone. Then you just find your way through that area =)

This was brought up awhile back in another thread, but I'd also like to mention that the items you find at the center of Turnback Cave after capturing Giratina respawn each time you enter the maze from the entrance room. I just got two Reaper Cloths in a row by following your directions Slizer.

My understanding was that the Turnback cave was randomly generated each time you entered it. While Slizer's directions might work sometimes, they will not work others.

The key is to examine the rocks surrounding the doors leading out of the rooms. One rock will be out of place near one door. That is the one you need to enter to get to the center of the cave in the shortest amount of time possible. The encounters are higher level the further in you are & the last room holds a Giratina the first time you enter. On subsequent visits it will have an item. Which item depends on how long it took you to get there.

Got there in 3 rooms = Reaper Cloth
Got there in 4-15 rooms = Rare Bone
Got there in 16-30 rooms = Stardust.

Jhamin is correct. There are 18 different rock layouts and a pillar room that are randomly generated as you enter a different door. As Slizer said if you return through the same door that you entered, you will return to the beginning of the maze.
In terms of EV training, I would recommend it for special sweepers as the Haunters are worth 2 EVs in SpAttack and the Golbats are worth 2 EVs in Speed and the Bronzongs are easy to run from. A high level pokemon with a psychic move will do well here, but most Psychic attacks don't usually have very high PPs so unless you have a few with you, it will be a short training period.
Don't forget to bring a pokemon with HM Defog.
