I was looking threw some of my old post today. Celph said I should take some of my post and add them to my site as a guide on breeding. Well I noticed a lot of things I have forgotten about. The first Thread I ever posted here was for help. I could not get my comment to work on the main site, I was trying to get a Ryhorn from RoBottnik. After getting very frustrated I made a thread asking what the deal was. I had someone reply I have a Ryhorn what are you trading, to which I replied nothing I want one of the Farmer Market's Ryhorns. I replied to my own thread several times, going nuts wanting that Ryhorn. It was Cherkat that sent a comment on the main site with my info and Ryhorn request. It was then HMTKSteve that posted telling me about your first comment needing approved, which I overlooked and kept posting about my problem, sorry Steve here it is many months later and I just now noticed you had posted that.

After that I replied to a few threads and made a few myself asking different information. I figured I could just kill some time and collect some Pokemon with good move-sets and save myself the time of breeding my own. Then something happened, I realized that this site and forum was different from my main hangout. The other members did not flame you for asking a question, no matter how stupid some of mine were. I felt comfortable here. Also I noticed at the time when I was asking questions the forum had a high percentage of younger kids. Maybe that is why some of my questions never got the answer I was hoping for. I am not saying that young people cannot be helpful. I am meaning that maybe instead of asking questions I should be helping with the answers to others question.

So I watched for awhile and would replied if I knew the answer. I was not happy just to give answers to select questions. So I start searching the internet. Trying to find sites dedicated to Pokemon, but wrote by fans. I had a list of over 30 different websites. Which I slowly whittled down to about 10. I found these sites to hold more accurate information. So now I was answering more post then ever. But something was still missing. I was giving the answer with someone else's information. Afterwards I started doing for myself. I teted things for myself and gathered my own results.

The fun from answering questions once again faded. What was I missing? Hands on experiences. So I got the idea to start breeding my own Pokemon. I made up my first Minor Market Farmed Pokemon, a Spiritomb. I picked the move-set and gathered the parents. But somehow it did not have a high demand as the farmers on the main site received for their Pokemon. What was mine lacking? Well it turns out that NikolaTesla started a thread to get a section added to the forum. That section is now Forum Farm. What else was surprising was in NikolaTesla thread there was a list of breeders who were starting out to be like the breeders on the main site. I was second on the list, well there were only 3 of us trying to do farms then. I felt honored to be mentioned as a breeder. Which now we all know that the forum section that NikolaTesla was pushing for was added. Which brought out more farmers. More farmers meant more minor events. It also brought out new thinkers and more variation into the Pokemon chosen and the moves they had. With these changes I set out to set myself apart from the others. Instead of BugCatcher's Pokemon Trades, I wanted something to shine a light on me. That was when C.W.A. Stables was created. When I first posted as C.W.A. Stables I had request to join my stable. After having to tell vowl123 I was not recruiting for my stables, I was promoting my Pokemon. I then challenged other breeders to role play their farm and make up names and backgrounds. By my surprise people did. More and more Pokemon were being bred. Newer breeders were trying their hand at the farm.

So with all the new members and farmers came great Pokemon and more questions. After answering a few questions from a new young breeder, I received a PM. It was the first of I believe 12 PM's I would receive from this young farmer. This farmer thanks me for my information and went on to do her first Minor Market Event. With their first farmed Pokemon going out with multiple request, I thought this new farmer as the nak for breeding. So farmer Nak then started Nak's Nursery. Which I think is one of the most stylish farm in this market. Nak's detailed stories and unique move-sets is in a class of it's own.

Now comes a time to try and set myself apart from the other farmers again. How could this be done. Instead of uncommon Pokemon, I wanted to breed the strongest. So I went on a quest for finding those Pokemon with the best genes. Along my way to the IV grail I ran into another trainer that shared a passion for the IV variety. Celph77 and I have done many, many, many IV Battles to help bring out the strongest, most fit Pokemon.

So what does the future hold? I am not sure. Until this morning I did not remember much from the past. I do not even remember how I found this site. Somehow I stumbled upon it and man how lucky have I been. This site has brought a new passion into my life. As you can see from my story it has brought many new friends. It has also brought me many titles. To some I am Buzby. To a few others I am known as sensei. To Sywo I am known as the monster, as per here last post. It is said that I know more about Pokemon than humanly possible. There is always more to learn. I like to think of myself as a sponge. I absorb everything. Oh by the way my favorite title for myself is Cloyster, which also came from Nak.

So in closing, I would like to thank all of my new friends. Who with their great insight, has helped push me to take my game higher.

Aaaaaaaaaaw!!! That's so touching! ^o^ It almost made me cry, lol. XD I know exactly how you feel. To be honest, when I first signed up here, my only reason was to bum stuff from people. But realizing how friendly a community this forum was, it just naturally made me want to give in return. People like you, Andy, Orange, Shanice, Dragon, and so many others that I can't even begin to list them all down, have been so helpful and hospitable... And I think the whole world needs more people like that. I mean, it's not just because they give away Pokemon and items. The people here are very kind, trusting, and generous. It's a little reminder that the world isn't all that bad and that there are still good things in life other than material possessions. So for that, thank you as well Pokefarm.

Nak, you said it all

I'm only a junior member but this site is the greatest thing since sliced bread! The people here are SOOO great! I feel like I'm surrounded by people that completely understand what pokemon is all about and why both young and old can love pokemon so much. :-D

Right now I am still trying to expand my pokedex for both my sons benefit and my own but I definitely want to contribute more to this sight in the future. I love the idea of "paying it forward", and that's what I plan on doing.

Thank you so much everyone!

Leave it to Buzz to cause such drama, lol. XD

But yes. It might be unusual to our society to make friends with people who are far away in range. It's not loser-like or geeky. It's called an evolution and a more open mind. Like online dating. Should love be limited to the city you live in? With technology and an open mind, finding your true love somewhere out there in the world no longer has to be a mere fairy tale. We have the technology, but we have yet to adapt our minds an hearts to such a revolution.

Since I am probably the oldest on this site (just guessing), I would love to also let everyone know that I love this site and it does make me fell better about the next generation. I have had so much help since I came to this site. I love that you all just do the kind things that you do just to do it (not sure if that makes any sense). I have had one member go completly out of his way to help me more than once. I hope his family knows what a good person he really is. I just want everyone here to know that I LOVE THIS SITE!

It is not just the members of this site that make it great. I think with the administrators and moderators we have here make it that much better. They listen to their members. So many moderators from other sites get this holier than though attitude. I know I tend to overreact sometimes, for an example like when someone posts a General Trade in the Forum Farm section. I try not to police it, but at the same time if a member lets another member know these things it helps that member out more. If you are trading for a Beldum and post in the Forum Farm, chances are nobody is farming them and will tend to overlook that thread. If you direct them to the General Trades and let them know why it is better to post there, then they are very likely to get their trade. I just think trying to keep the post that end up becoming dead post to a minimum would keep the forum running smoothly.

I also would like to note. As a person that suffers from Depression, O.C.D., and Self-Esteem issues and now recently a car accident with many injuries, this site gives me a feeling of self achievement. You may have noticed that when people give me praise on some of the things I do here, I tend to push it aside and just give a thank you. The O.C.D. drives my thirst of finding out everything I can about Pokemon. My low self-esteem at times makes it seem as if I am cold hearted. I don't react well to praise, but you guys still give it and that is awesome.

And it is true, when I first found this site, I was like sweet I can get free Pokemon and Items for my Bidoof. After becoming a breeder on this site, I blame you the members and the moderators. I blame you for giving me joy and restoring my faith in mankind. Like Nak said, it shows how people from all over the world can get along. Instead of wars we need to do Poke Battles. Mr. President, that Charizard is sweeet.

Bravo Buzz! ^o^

Aaaaw... And do you really suffer from depression? Is it diagnosed? Cheer up, man! I'll even give you free happy pills perscription if I have to once I become a psychiatrist. Lol XD

But you really ought to give yourself more credit, Buzz. You're a great guy and a great dad. And I'm sure your wife thinks so as well. I truly wish you a swift recuperation. Let me know if there's any way I can help. =)

Yep. I have had Depression and O.C.D. problems from when I was a little kid. I have just recently, well going on my 4th year of Therapy. 4 Years in February. I have changed a lot since finally accepting the fact I needed help. It took almost losing my wife to make me go get help. I lost 2 great jobs because of this problem, but when my wife was thinking of leaving, that changed everything. I would be nothing without my wife. She is my biggest supporter. It gets tought at times, but I am learning to deal with it.

Aaaaw, Buzz. I know it's difficult to put myself in your place, but I'm certain that it must be really tough. Just remember, like you said, you have your family with you. And I guess you could say that Pokefarm is a family that supports you as well. There are a lot of good things out there you deserve, Buzz. You just have to reach out and go for it. =)

Wow...how touching Buzz....im...speechless......nuff said...

I agree with you all...I've been a member of many, many forums, moderated a couple and admined about 2 of them. This would have to be one of my favorites.

Not to be negative, but from exerpeice, I have noticed that young/unpopular forums such as this one does not attract many flamers becasue no one here flamed and flamers don't like to flame alone (I've said flame too much). However, this forum would be in danger if we got poplular too fast. Everything would be unorganized and not many people would get questions answered, and most of the nice people that once roamed will get tired of teh chaos and go away.

Here's to that never happening!!!

Your not alone out there buzz. I've had OCD and ADD since I was a kid and it made my life pretty rough. Luckily I don't suffer from depression but if my wife left me I think I would go into a tailspin or downward spiral or something sad and dramatic. It's amazing how much you family can change you and help you through the hard times.

Hang in there and think on the bright side...you got another bundle of joy on the way and OCD has it good sides to...I'm sure is pokedex is REALLY organized  (My OCD has a lot to do with being REALLY organized, a perfectionist, and being distracted easily)

...so where was I?

Oh yeah! thanks again for all the great trades and for all the knowledge you left on the forum pages...it's taking a while to read but I'm learning a lot!

(My OCD has a lot to do with being REALLY organized, a perfectionist, and being distracted easily)

Oh I know about those quirks. They are my biggest pains. I also have problems with worrisome thinking. Also I have a major problem with sleeping. Sleeping don't work. I have tried a lot of different pills and I get one or two nights of sleep and my body adapts to them. My brain never shuts itself down. It takes so long to fall asleep, because my brain keeps working and not resting. I have went 4 days a total of 96 hours hours before finally passing out from exhaustion.

My therapist said I am not like normal depression patients. It is my OCD that keeps me going and not completely falling into the rut of depression.

What I wrote, I meant. I have absolutely no one around me that plays Pokemon or even thinks a grown man should play Pokemon. My wife will sit and listen, but I can tell she has no clue and only listens to be polite. My son is 3 and he plays to an extant, but it is just hard to carry on a conversation about IVs, EVs, and other equations. So truly you guys do help me here.

Buzz, i am glad to hear that this site had done you good. You have created a whirlwind around here with your knowledge. i hope you'll stick around cuz a lot of the older(long time) members seems to have gone away. You, Nak and Celph are considered the next generations here in this site. I'm kind of in the Passe' section.

I think you will find alot of the older members have jobs, college, or school and this is a very bad time of the year for most. I don't plan on going anywhere. Not saying my time on here won't get cut down, busy time of the year for my job. I think what puts this site above all the other Pokemon sites is we still treat it as the game it is intended to be. Collecting, sharing, and battling. Other sites turn into a big deal that if you don't battle your a loser, if can't win a battle your a loser. Here you can have comfort that if battling is not your thing, there are plenty of trades going on or you can start your own farm. If you like to battle, but don't win well your in luck because people here will help you with team building, Pokemon building, and practice battles. This has got to be the purest Pokemon site I have ever seen. It does not condemn anyone. I mean there are people here that hack and clone, but they know not to used hacked Pokemon in battles. People here know that cloned Pokemon are not farmed Pokemon. I donot clone or hack, but I am not against anyone that does. If you hacked to get the uber rare that is event only, no big deal. I try to get to events, I have a MYSTRY Mew and a TRU Manaphy.

As to my wife *contemplates making her leave* lol j/k

She just tells me I'm a big kid , and then takes the DS (its hers I just swipe it) away from me to play phantom hourglass.

Hehe, you have to do what I did. Convince your wife that you need another DS so she can play her games. Mine loves brain age, animal crossing and spyro...things that take up time so it made sense that I suggested to get another one for "us" so we could share time playing multiplayer games.

Then after I had the second one for a bit, I again convinced her that I needed a second Pokemon cartage so that I would have more farming room. The worse thing about getting the second cartage (used) was talking to the sales people at the gamestop. They look at a 28 year old guy pretty weird when he is trying to explain why he needs a game pretty much beat so he has access to all the areas in the game for EV training and hatching pokemon for his farming projects (no time to do it on my own due to a 5 week old in the house).

Been there, done that! I went to the store to buy another pokemon game and asked the clerk if they had it. He replied "how old is you child? he might not be able to understand it", Here's the kicker, I replied "oh, he's old enough".:) I couldn't tell the clerk (half my age) that the game was for me....It's bad enough that every adult I know gives me a hard time, I sure didn't need a total stranger to give me "those" looks....:)

Boy do I know the "stigma" of the adult pokemon lover. Just this evening, I asked my husband to let me onto the computer and he said, sarcasm dripping in his voice, "do you need to check on that pokemon farm place"? I said if it wasn't for that "pokemon farm place", I would not have half of the pokemon that I do. I was met with a silent, whatever. Then he moved. Note to self, I need a lap top for christmas!
I would have never thought to have all of the starters, some cool legendaries and other pokes with amazing moves. Plus the people on this site amaze me with their generosity. I am so hooked! I only became introduced to pokemon because my then 4 year old, he is now 7, was given leaf green and he did not have a clue how to play. Now we are fighting over which pokemon to palpark.

Yeah, I think that it's perfectly fine if you enjoy playing Pokemon no matter your age. Just... understand that if you declare it to the world, you're gonna get some funny looks. :/

And Electabuzz and Mewtwo tattoos? As a Pokemon fan, I have to say that that's kinda hard core. But still, ever heard of the guy who got the Zune logo tattooed on his arm? Yeah.

Wow!
When I first came to this website I had a lot of doubts, but now that I've looked around I've realised how great it is!
Everyone is helpful, kind and welcoming to people who want to learn how to be a pokemon farmer.
I can't wait to get wifi and join in to the action!
My wii already has wifi so I know how good it is.
