View Full Version : Another Cyndaquil?
These little guys sure are popular!
I am in search of a Cyndaquil, Quilava or Typhlosion -- normally I would consult the GTS but unfortunately for me none of these guys are in my Pokedex, so I am in somewhat of a situation here.
I have been breeding an assortment of Pokemon for my own Superteam, however there are some I'm willing to trade -- my Charmanders are particularly good. They all inherited a decent moveset: Flamethrower, Swords Dance, Brick Break and Growl -- yes I know, Growl is pretty lame, but it had to replace Blast Burn which of course isn't available to ye olde wee'uns.
It would be great if someone could help me out here, I'm running out of options. Cheers! :wink:

i can hook u up. Also if u need the event pokemon got them 2. Leave a list of pokemon that i can choose from
Sure! let's see here ... I'll list the ones that you might be interested in, 'cos I'm sure many of them are as common as muck (not Muk).

Event pokemon would be nice!
It might be a bit tricky to organise, though ... I'll have to connect at a hotspot. I know a friendly local McDonald's that I could use. I live in Adelaide, Australia; so the time diff may be an issue, unless we use superior organisational skills / memory from Geography or wherever we're supposed to learn it ...

I doubt it! Heh, it's almost one o' clock in the morning where I live right now, and it'll take me a couple of hours to get to the hotspot.
Let's see ... I could get on tomorrow between twelve and one (midday here). So that's about eleven and a half hours from now.
Hey, I thought I'd revive this topic seeing as I still haven't been able to get hold of a Cyndaquil and its really hard to coordinate trade times because I live in a different time zone (which is really annoying), any help would be appreciated.

Thanx a million electrogal, i dont hav a clue how the friend code thing works do we just trade codes and we can trade pokemon then. Sorry im not the brightest penny when it comes to this stuff.
Aw, actually -- I've got a meeting (I'm at uni) in a quarter of an hour ... I should be able to get on at 12:00, though -- that's an hour and three mins from now. Could you get on then?

Most nights I stay up until about 5, but I'm out tomorrow so I'm going soon.
Tomorrow night I won't be up very late either.
But Friday night I'll be up all night. Maybe we could trade then?
I don't really mind what you trade me for it (: Do you happen to have a Smoochum? I'm really desperate for one x) If not anything will be fine. I'm really not fussed (:
Donnie, if you've been given a pal pad (can't remember when you get it but I think its just after the first gym), open it and select "Donnie's CODE" (or whatever your in-game name is)
There should be 16 numbers in blocks of four. That's your friend code. (: Once you've given me that, go back and select "REGISTER FRIEND CODE"
Then put my name and friend code in. They're both in my sig.
Then when we're both ready to trade, go downstairs in any pokemon centre and talk to one of the two people either side of the door. It should be pretty self-explanatory from there. (:
Would you mind if we traded tomorrow? I'm just about to go to bed now.
Hmm. Well, here tomorrow is Friday, and I could trade tomorrow evening ... but that would probably be morning where you live.

Okay. well. what I mean was what will be very very late friday night/very very early saturday morning for me.
So in around 48hours from now. (: I'm not sure what time that will be in Australia.

yeah, that'll be midday Saturday? Saturday or Sunday should be OK, if I can get to my friend's house to mooch off his internet connection.

Yeah I am now, but its a bit dodgy ... it keeps fluctuating and as yet I haven't been able to secure a connection. But I'll keep trying!

We're on British Summer Time so it's GMT+1 here now.
I'm not too fussed. Anything you've got lying around will be fine.
K -- but most of the pokes I have lying around actually aren't in ... a ... er ... living state, so I'll get you one that's standing up.
Are you sure half-past three in the morning is a healthy time to be conscious? I could wait until later if you'd prefer.

Yeah it's a habit I should kick ... compulsively adding everyone to MSN that I meet, even though I don't really use it much ... yes we're all media "savvy", whatever that means. I have a suspicion its just a buzz word that stupid people use to sound important. I heard it from my Media Literacies lecturer, on multiple occasions and now its stuck in my head.
Now enough about me talking about me. What do you think about me?
I must apologise for my ranting. I think its time I was hitting the old dusty pillow, 'cos sleep deprivation tends to lead to (in my case) loss of sanity.
Anyway, Saturday's fine for trading, then?
I take it by your silence that you have either
a) fled the thread in horror
b) fallen asleep
c) have been kicked off by a sibling
d) want nothing more to do with me, or
e) all of the above.

There's a move tutor for it on the resort island I believe, only starters can learn it, there's a grass and water one to, but i forget the names :P
