Just an idea. I really love joining contests in Hearthome's Contest Hall, but the one thing that the Pokemon episodes have that the game doesn't is the battling part of the contest. So I was thinking, we could arrange a Super Contest Tournament where depending on the Contest category (Beauty, Cuteness, etc.), all of the entry Pokemon's moves must match that category. And as a prize, I will buy the winning Pokemon a ribbon from the Ribbon Syndicate or perhaps something else. What do you guys think? =)

So I was thinking, for the gauge... Note that this applies for BOTH pokemon

8 hearts - Moves (Minus 1 for every wrong move type)

4 hearts - Type of Pokemon (In a competition, you can't really say that a Machamp is cute right off the bat. This will be judged by 3 judges.)

6 hearts - Ball Capsule Design (Checked by judges. The average will be taken, 3 for the best, and 0 for the worst.)

8 hearts - Same Type moves (1 heart for each move that matches the Pokemon's type)

4 hearts - Nature (2 points for each Pokemon with a matching nature)

5 hearts - Condition of Pokemon (if the Poffins you've fed the pokemon has improved the Pokemon's condition for the specific Contest)

5 hearts - Winning the battle

That's a total of 40 points, I believe. What do you guys think? =)

Oh! And each Coordinators will have 2 Pokemon, and it will be a Double Battle. =) Not sure what level the battles should be yet though...

I know it's not for wi-fi =.=

I'm talking about a tournament like yours! But it's two-on-two and the moveset needs to match the Contest category. Do you get it yet? =D

I'd be more eager to join if it was the cool category.....becasue you know....they're coooooool......but beauty would be more fun since most beauty moves don't do damage.

Level wise, I'd say between lvl 10 and 20. Lower than 10, stats don't mean a thing, higher than 20, no one will wanna do it.

Sounds neat! But would you really only be allowed to use moves that were in the contest? In that case, would you have to submit a moveset beforehand to make sure all the moves you use are say, Smart moves? And how would the moves be judged? As in the--acting, is it?--portion of the Super Contests (with the hearts and all)? or would it just be beat up on the other guy until he's out of HP?

I think it'd be neat to have something where you can use other moves, but you get less points for using moves not part of the contest (sortof like in the cartoon, where you can beat up folks as much as you want, but your gauge goes down according to how appropriate your move is). That said, it might be difficult to do something like that over wi-fi, since it seems as if you'd need a third party judge, or at least a record of the moves you did to count which was "better" and which was "worse"... :/

I dunno, I am just throwing out things to maybe think about, take them with grains of salt. I think it'd be fun! And yeah, something in the teens-level would be good, especially if you have to breed pokes with certain moves to enter.

Who needs Confucius when you have lollerdashius coming up these amazing phiiloshical ideas. I'm sure Nakky will read them over and adopt some, if not all of them....:)

Heheheh, certainly nothing that exciting. It's less serious thinking and more questions that come up when you're slow on the draw. :3

There will be a trade check before the battle begins.

The latter.

As for the other ideas, I might tkae them into consideration once I work out the Contest system. =)

Okay. So it's sortof like a breeding contest as well, since you've got to have pokemon with moves that can beat the other guy, but also match the type of contest it is, right? Mmm, might be neat if the specific moves the pokemon has could also get points (or something) for suiting the type of pokemon it is--kinda like the stuff you were kicking around in the breeding contest thread. It just feels kinda contest-y, I dunno. I've never done any hardcore breeding, though, so I don't know how feasible that sort of thing would be...

That's probably enough spamming from me... ^^

Yup, it is very similar to the one being planned out in the Forum Farm Section.

I still have to figure out how to do that part. XD

That's the plan! =D

Oh, you'll do just fine. I'm new to bredding myself. XD

What spamming? You've contributed some really good ideas! =)

Wow, Nakky....that actually sounds good. Also, make sure you clarify in the post of the tournament thread that winner gets a prize and a banner to display in signature of the win. I found that it draws more people to enter....:)

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. =) I'm gonna finalize and set up everything tomorrow =3 But I need 2 more judges >.<

Well...you know I'm on a lot...and since I dont want to enter this becasue I don't want to win yet another tournament and scare people off with my awesomeness, I don't mind being the judge....:)
