Basic gym info?

Sooo...can someone tell. Me how this gym thing works on this forum?...is there actual leaders that i can battle or am i misunderstanding?

you're right. There are gym leaders and assistants on this forum? They each have two types and if you beat them you get a badge. Lost to the leader too many times and you have to face the assistant and win before you can reface them. To challenge the gyms, you must put in a request to join the gym social group and then set up a time with the gym leader. Anything else you need to know?

well, I guess it's worth mentioning that you get a shiny badge if you have a team with all your OT number meaning that you bred them and that you didn't just take them off farm events and train them.

Most of the Gym rules are posted in a Gym thread area, called "gym rules".

And, of course, ledgendary Pokemon are not allowed in gym battles.

It is also important to note that all of the leaders use EV trained pokemon, and that the battles are done over the wifi battling - some might assume that goes unsaid, but there are often questions around these topics.

You go into User CP and you go to Group Member ship and you choose a gym then you wait for the leader to contact you!

Each gym has a set of rules posted. These rules tell you how to challange the gym & more importantly, what the rules are for Gym Battles. Not all pokemon are allowed in Gym Challanges & there are some other rules you need to pay attention too.

Nothing too complicated & most gyms has pretty much the same rules, but you will still want to check them out.
