Same Team on Alternate Cartridges

Well, I have many specially bred pokeymanz on my Pearl. With them, I have won my 5 or 6 badges or however many I have right now on Pokefarm.

Now that Platinum and all of its Move Tutor splendors are available for competitive play, I have a very interesting question:

If I trade over my pokeymanz to my Platinum, give them Move Tutor moves and such, then can I use them on my Platinum to continue to earn badges?
Or do all of my gym challenges have to be on the same game cartridge?

If you don't know the answer for sure and you're just saying what you think, then those answers won't really be of much use...Not to be rude, but I really just want the facts on this question. :)

Don't quote me on it, but I think you will have to trade them back to Pearl... But it won't be an issue to have Plat moves on your Pokes, the only thing that isn't carried over from Plat are the alternate forms.

Right...darn. This is quite inconvenient considering I only have one DS...I have to trade with a friend over WiFi until I can get together with him...

I don't think that it matters... why would it? Especially if you're not going for a shiny badge. If you were going for a shiny badge, then the only rule is that your pokemon have to have the same OT.

I can say with absolute sureness - that you do not need to trade them back to Pearl or anything like that. The only thing that matters for regular badges is that they are not hacked.

For shiny badges all 6 pokemon must be bred from the same cartridge, it doesnt matter what cartridge. They could all be palparked from emerald or leaf green, as long as they all have the same OT/ID# they are eligible for the shiny badge.
