SIGNUPS ARE CLOSED - I HAVE 16 PARTICIPANTS
I will need 16 participants to begin this season of the EPFL, 15 because I already signed up :P
Here is how this season is going to work.
The season will consist of several single-elimination tournaments, with each participant earning points based on final standings of that tournament.
Matches should continue being best 2 out of 3 battles.
Those points will carry over for the entire season, and each tournament that is part of the season will add to that total.
There will be a new set of sign-ups for each season, with preference given to those who participated in the last...for example, if only 13 of the players in the first tourney are available to do the 2nd one, 3 new sign-ups will be needed. The original 3 players will not lose points earned in the first tournament.
As you can see this is a system that will allow players to come in and out as needed due to schedules, etc, however the players that are able to play in more tournaments will be rewarded with more points.
There also may be twists with each tournament including type restrictions, tier restrictions, item restrictions, etc. Don't expect there to be a twist with EVERY, or even the majority of the tournaments, but there will be a few.
Please sign up below, and remember this sign up is for the FIRST TOURNAMENT ONLY, you will need to re-sign up for each tournament.
Finally - this tournament will begin on May 8th - One week from today.
If you are unfamiliar with the EPFL, please see the rules thread which is stickied in this forum. To sign up you should have at least 6 battle-ready pokemon.
If you have any questions, please include them in this thread also. I hope that I have come up with a solution that rewards the correct behavior, but will also not slow the progress of the season.
