This one is simple. Write a PM telling me why you would like to be the Little Gym Assistant. I will then post each under anonymous and then their will be a voting. Which the vote will then be tallied to my decision and a winner will be selected and that trainer's team will be victor.

Also for this challenge, each team Blue/Gold must select 1 member to be battle master. So as a group PM your vote to me. Put your Team and the trainer you select. Like Green Team: Buzz.

Also I know writing is an odd challenge for a gym competition. However as you can see throughout the gyms writing is critical to the gym. Nobody wants to sit and wonder what the heck you are saying, so writing will be important.

I would also like to note, and this is by noway singling anyone out, because there has been more then just one contestant, but another quality a gym leader has is the ability to follow the rules. Every gym has them, and every challenge will have them. I will be keeping tabs on questions asked and rules not followed, which will weigh heavily on the finals.

Why would I like to be an assistant? One reason tops all. I love to battle! I enjoy battling to the highest extreme. I love to sit in my room researching Pokemon about strategies I just thought up, I love seeing my ideas work, or fail and then be critiqued later on. I enjoy helping people become better battlers them selves by giving them my advice if needed. I love to see all of the unique Pokemon. I love all battling in general. The breeding I could beg to differ, but it is worth it.

This is why I want to be an assistant. I would be able to help, and battle people on a regular basis. Not to mention putting all my ideas and seeing other peoples ideas in action! The feeling I get is great. And with little battles, the possibility's of what you would see a Pokemon do is endless! I would be seeing new ideas every day, and helping people while I do it. This is why I would like to be little battle gym assistant.

Well, I suck when it comes to the big battles. But my skills as a breeder are improving, and mostly, I'm fed up being the kid who looks at all his subscribed threads, then logs off.

I really want this position. I can hook any Pokemon (almost any) with all possible moves, and being your assistant would really improve my battling and breeding skills. Besides this, I can't really explain any further.

Ever since I joined pokefarm on 07-25-2008 I wanted to amount to something important in the pokefarm community. So far I haven't done anything that makes me stand out from the other members of pokefarm. I haven't even had my first online battle yet and it's really depressing, I constantly think of myself as someone who isn't ready to fight but I want to at least try it. I guess I'm just afraid of losing, that's all.

I think I've found my forte, with having other people handicapped along with myself I believe I would be able to exceed past those who I once thought were far above me. This Gym Assistant position is something that could change everything for me, that's why I need to give 100% to achieve what I want to accomplish. Although I understand that this competition will be of elimination, I want to go as far as I can, no matter what. I want to be able to become the gym leader assistant of the Little Gym, everything is riding on it. I want to be recognized for being strong in battle, the meaning of blank in Japanese is War Hero, if I can get a position like a gym leader assistant I will get a little bit of respect and hopefully I can climb to higher positions in my pokefarm career.

I know this letter is short but it's all I could think of, I only had a little bit of time to write this up because I didn't know this was to be done until a couple of minutes ago. So, I hope you can see why I want to become a Little Gym Assistant.

For this position, little battle gym assistant, should be given to one that is learning about battling, one whom will be capable of organization, one who can give feedback. The little battle gym assistant should have great integrity and keep their word. But the little battle gym assistant shouldn’t be perfect either. A great learning experience can be gathered from this. I may not be all of these traits, but I am many. This will be a great experience, and I am thrilled that I will be competing and working with all these great poke farmers. All of these people will be great as the next gym battle assistant. I think I should be the gym battle assistant, I can keep my word and will make sure anyone that needs to vs. me has a chance to as fast as they can. I may have much to learn, but this is the time to learn it. I love baby pokes to!I look forward to competing with you all. Best of luck to all of us!

It would be a rewarding experience to work with any gym leader. I think more so with a 'Baby Gym leader because it take a so much strategy to plan a little battle, working with 3 Pokemon, not that it doesn't take any strategy for a regular gym leader. Little battles give you more things to think about since you have no thoughts of EVs and your only using 3 Pokemon. It would give me a huge challenge I personally think I'm ready for.Becoming a gym assistant would be the dream of everyone not pining for the head position.

Well Bugcatcher6 I want to keep this short and sweet. I think I anyone would benefit from me becoming the new assistant because I just love to help people out any way I can. I will help analyze and tell people where they went wrong. Being assistant would be nice because I would be able to hold battles in your place if you appointed me to or to battle the people who lose to you. Of course I don't think I should officially get the position until I beat you(again) but this time for the badge. I will be the first to admit that sometimes I will get distracted but that is mainly during 6v6 standard battles and not little battles. I hope that's what your looking for.

Why would I like to be the Little Battle Leader's Assistant? Well, I've never really been known for anything truly special. And, well, being able to work as a part of something as monumentally special as this, would sure make life a lot more fun.

From the second the Little Battle Gym was suggested, I knew I would love to be a part of it. But, I never thought of myself as someone that would be thought of for any position in any gym. And, to add to the negatives, I wasn't even considered a battler. Even I didn't believe I could do it.

From the second I heard that the decision of the Little Battle Gym becoming an official new addition to the forum, I worked, and worked, and worked, to create a team that would be able to make me recognizable in this field. I took every ounce of energy I had so that one day if the gym were to ever need an assistant, I would at least be thought of for the position.

The second this competition was announced, my heart skipped a beat. Just two nights before, I had been sharing these exact dreams with another member, who had trained me in the art of battling. I kept getting down on myself about how something like this would never happen:

ME: "But Buzz JUST opened the gym. There's no way something like that could happen. And, like I said, I'm just not good enough."
But he kept ensuring me that there was always hope.
HIM: "Like I said. The day will come. Won't be real soon but it will come..."
Then, when the opportunity arose, as I said earlier, my heart skipped a beat. I saw members already signing up, but I saw that sign ups hadn’t started yet, so I just waited. Between that moment and the moment I had signed up, I received messages from other members telling me to sign up. I realized that I had other members beside me in this journey. I was able to see that other members, besides myself, wanted me to take part in this. It made me feel less invisible.

Just the fact that I'm able to take part in the competition has turned me into a less pessimistic person. I'm not sure whether or not I'll make it big or not, but being the assistant of the Little Battles Gym sure would make things in my life a whole lot more interesting.

I have to admit when I first found out about Little Battling from PBR , I was a bit skeptical. How could a battle between baby Pokemon be so interesting? A few hits and the Pokemon was sure to be out but as I got more into it , I realized it needed more strategy and careful planning than I thought and I actually enjoyed it more than normal battling( still loved Double battles more though ;) ). I really liked the idea that this would test both breeding abilities as well as coming up with the perfect strategy for your team so when I first found out about the Gym Assistant, I was thrilled to finally be able to become a part of a position where I could help develop my Tyke Team as well as learning more about new unique combination which other trainers may have thought of and how they're strategies played out against mine, if I find flaws I'll be sure to fix them, growing my team stronger and stronger. Leet and and chat speak is not acceptable in the little gym. I have overlooked some, but everyone needs to understand you in this area.

I cleaned up spelling mistakes in all that I posted. Not everyone has a spell checker built in. I use firefox so I do when I write my threads.

Spelling is not the biggest concern as it is grammar. I don't look at sentence structure, fragments are o.k. I look at can everyone understand it.

I don't think predictions of doom meant to be mean. They were just saying it would be better to use proper writing if the person can do it. As for a spell checker who says you have to download an internet spell checker? Just type your response in Word (or any word processing app) and run spell check that way. Make sure it's nice and neat and then copy and paste it in a post on here. That's not very difficult. I mean if you were applying for a job you would spell check your resume. I guess this is kind of the same thing. That's all.

After meeker makes the decision on the 3rd member for elimination, those 3 members must PM meeker. Tell meeker why you feel you should not be eliminated. meeker can then make the decision on which member should be going to the red team.

There is going to be a lot of writing involved with this contest. One thing I have seen in the past, and sometimes current, with gym leaders is hard to read threads. I want an assistant and potential leader that can keep people interested with their threads.

Actually I don't think many of the things about this have been that publicly clear and there's currently been a lot of within the team voting and I don't find that would work out that well in the long run.

It's the Red Team for me most likely either way. While I'm not sure exactly how the people in the Red Team actually get back into the game but I'll make my best effort to get back in however I am meant to. Plus hopefully thing will seem a bit my clear later on.

The red team never actually get back into the game. At some point they will be voted out for a 2nd time and be gone. The only way they could get back in, is to survive until the point when teams are removed and it is every trainer for themself.

Playing favorites, yes that is what is intended. It is also intended for you to make new friends and in by doing so, maybe build an alliance to help get you to the end.

Where we at on the 3 PMs to meeker?

I have received two PMs already. I have now decided who to eliminate.

Both this member's PM and Competition Entry seemed to have be done in a very short amount of time. 30 seconds to 1 minute, tops! It was easily seen that this member didn't put much effort into either of these two pieces. Both pieces seemed like, more than anything, a list. Their PM was crammed with, "I am...I am...I am..."(PM). I do not believe that anyone would be interested on reading a list. This member failed to put a sense of emotion into either of their pieces, leaving them as purely two-dimensional words.

A Gym Assistant should be able to communicate with people, without there being any question of what message they are trying to convey to their recipient. This member's PM fails to meet this expectation through excess grammatical errors. I had to read their PM three times just to make sure that what I thought this member was trying to say, WAS, in fact, what they WERE trying to say. Several words were incomplete, or misspelled, creating a large inconvenience for me.

This member also played the "Gym Badge Card", where they stated that, "I am the only one with the little battle gym badge"(PM)(Bolded by meeker for emphasis). This displays how this member was unable to take three seconds to specify that they were referring to:
1: the other two members that were up for elimination, or,
2: (if referring to ALL members taking part in the competition,) to take the time to notice that I, too, have the badge, or
3: (or if referring to ALL members on the forum) to take the time to notice that other members besides him are in possession of this badge.

This member claims , "Also,I am on a lot..."(PM), yet, they fails to use this time properly. At the Battle of Bunker Hill, during the Siege of Boston, one of the following leaders: Putnam, Stark, Prescott or Gridley, shouted out, "Don't fire until you see the whites of their eyes!" This famous quote was due to the rebels' lack of valuable ammo. These brave soldiers wanted to be able to use their limited amount of ammo to its fullest, by firing, nearly point-blank, to ensure the best results.

This member failed to use their time wisely and create a piece worthy of me saving them from elimination. This member obviously fired their ammo while the foe was still too far away and was easily able to dodge.

I have chosen not to eliminate either Ice_tomb9 or Sarick because both of these members' pieces, were able to express who they were and why they wanted this position. They were able to venture outside of the box, while still remaining on topic. They expressed actual emotions while trying to convince their audience that they should stay in the competition longer. I could easily imagine either of them as being a great Assistant of the Little Battle Gym, while neither of the third member's pieces performed to these standards.

For these reasons, I have decided to eliminate Empoleon67.

PostScript: Even after I had made my decision, Sarick had the integrity to send a PM with his reason for why he should not be eliminated. This only further enhances my decision to eliminate Empoleon67. (Thank you Sarick)
