fire red sync help me!!

anyone help me... i have been s/r for a articuno... i have a syncer in the 1st slot in my party... i have tried different combonations (letting it get hit, swapping right out to my false swiper, even letting it faint) to get the nature i want and i just cant seem to get that nature... i have caught about 20 of them... on plat on the 5th try or so i got my modest giritina... does it work different on fire red... anyone tell me exactly how to do it... please:(

Syncronize does not work in Firered/Leafgreen. Out of battle abilities like that only work for Emerald and All Gen 4 games.

well :(... the game tricked me then.... before i started i wasnt sure if it worked... so i grabed an extra abra with a hasty nature... the third poke was in fact a hasty one... oh well... ill keep going without sync then:(

I did that with butterfree I thought his compound eyes and theif would improve my chance to get items no luck. Chansey's lucky egg fooled me too though.

However meowths pick up ability does work.
