View Full Version : Bash Rule implementation?

One of the first things I've noticed about Rocket is that the item Pidgey seems ridiculously overpowered. Now... I love beating people up with a feathered friend as much as the next rocket wannabe, but I'm thinking that we should implement a 'bash' rule so that people don't spend all their time in hospital.

Bitefight has a bash rule that is 'not more than 6 attacks in a 24 hour period' - but I think that Rocket should be less, considering how long it takes for a mugged/hospitalized victim to recover.

*nods in complete agreement, remembering how she spent 5 hours in recovery in one day*
I also think there should be a pacifist group, for the members that wish not to attack other members, and to not be attacked by other members. (It's a little off topic, but still relates to not being bashed)

I think 6 in a 24 hour period should be good for a starting point. I also plan on looking into the equation behind hospital time and making some modifications.

Regards to Pidgey... He's not really that strong but because of the way the game allows you to train yourself you can quickly knock out a low level player without even using a Pokemon! I'm looking into the training system and making some changes.

I'm also investigating changing the training system so it applies to the Pokemon you have rather than you.

I think such a rule should be coded, so that I wouldn't have to count how often I've striked at somebody. Otherwise, I'd have to keep a notepad open to recorde every fight, which would get tiresome in the end...

True.

It does cost a lot of energy to fight someone as well. Have you been taken out by the same person 6 times?

Perhaps a 'General' bash rule could be encoded - so that no player can be bashed more than 6 times in a 24 hour period at all - whether those 6 be by one person multiple times or more than one person - is it possible? It would not result in a banning, just a 'that player has suffered enough for today' style message?

It is possible but this may just be a case of too few users in the system. Besides, that energy is better spent training in the gym than beating down people!

If people have money... they will be bashed - seems to be the general consensus

There is a bank (http://teamrocket.pokefarm.com/bank.php)...

Maybe until we have a new rule or a bash system we could all just agree to be more considerate and take notice of people in the hospital.

Yeah, poor NikolaTelsa's always in there...although they do have a ton of money, and they're only level one.

There should also be a level confrontation limit. You have to be within a set level difference to be able to attack any member. Let's say a five level difference, or else it's just plain massacre to the weaker member.

Or, I've played a game where it was rank based...

Like, the game was a Naruto game so it was based on the ninja ranks, like a low class ninja can't fight 2 classes above and vice versa, but the 3rd lowest class was able to fight a class above it. So it was pretty much

First Class - No battles

Second Class - Battles within class

Third - Battles Second, third, and Fourth

Fourth- Battles Third, and Fourth.

I added a "no fighting people 5 levels lower than yourself" rule AND I took money off the quick userlist page.

YAY! *is happy her idea is being used*. However, you can still find the amount of money under "Hall of Fame"

Can someone try to attack Slizer? I'm curious to see if he is "safe" while in the clink!

May work as a vacation mode...
