This thread is designed to list different plans to achieve a given number of EVs. For example, this would be the place to go if you can't figure out how to get those 252 EVs in Attack. I will list what I do; please feel free to offer your own suggestions, as well. The next six posts will list EV plans by stat: HP, Attack, Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense, and finally, Speed.

If you see any errors or would like to add your own (for example, if you have one with a different method, i.e. battling multiple wild Pokemon instead of Vs. Seeker trainers), please reply with the plan that you use. ^_^

Small Numbers
Bidoof is probably your best option for wild Pokemon that give HP EVs.
With PKRS: 2 EVs per Bidoof defeated
With PKRS and Macho Brace: 4 EVs per Bidoof defeated
With PKRS and Power Weight: 10 EVs per Bidoof defeated

Tentacool is just about the only way to go in the wild without having to deal with dongling, PokeRadar, swarms, or version-exclusive Pokemon. Mantyke and Mime Jr. are OK as well.
With PKRS: 2 EVs per Tentacool defeated
With PKRS and Macho Brace: 4 EVs per Tentacool defeated
With PKRS and Power Band: 10 EVs per Tentacool defeated

For Sp.atk-

If you have to calciums. Go to route.214. And battle collector douglas. He has 3 roselia and they give 12 sp.atk evs each if you have the powerlens and pokerus. This means 21 roselias defeated gives 252 SP.ATK Evs.

Since theres 3 per battle i means.

7 Battles to get the Evs.


Speed-

If you have no carbos. Go to route 205 (West Eterna) and battle fisherman andrew.

With power anklet and pkrs you need to defeat

25 Magikarp with them.

1 Magikarp with just pokerus.

With 6 magikarp per battle. You need to do 4 battles. One wild magikarp. Then one wild magikarp without power anklet.

There's an error with the EV items. I'm not sure if its the same in Diamond, but in Platinum you only get the +4 EVs when you level up. Otherwise, its the same.

It depends on what pokemon you battle
If you want speed on an anklet, you should battle staravias for speed they go up to even 17

usually to save money and running all over sinnoh, i will battle the guy with 6 magikarps 4 times with PKRS and power anklet:240 then once more with just PKRS:252 ! i find this a LOT easier than trying to earn money and run all over the place! :):D:rolleyes::cool:;):eek:o3o

Give your pokemon 10 carbos to get it up to 100 evs and then KO 30 starly.

Simply go to your starting town ( LittleRoot i think) and bring your Super Rod.
At the bottom of the town there is a small puddle of water ( about 10 squares).
Fish in it! You will only find seaking and gyarados, both giving 2 EVs.
With the Power Bracer+PKRS these will give you 12 EV's per battle.
It just so happens that 21 battles will take you to exactly 252.
Perfect for most physical sweepers.

So a recap for kurt to copy/paste. Battle Seaking + Gyarados 21 times with PKRS + Power bracer. (At the bottom of LittleRoot Town)
