Hello all. Yes the Dean and the Academy are back. That also means the Golden Combee is back.

We have some cleaning up to do around here and I think I shall start with looking for a board of trustees. I need a few members who want to help out with keeping things organize, proofreading, & other miscellaneous task within the Academy.

If memory serves me right, there are only 3 members with this badge.

So please post if you are interested in being on the board. This time around I am going to put more of the teaching on my shoulders.

Things will be different, but time requirements will be a top priority. We all have busy lives, no sense in making others wait. However if you know before hand that something may come up, if given proper notice we can make accommodations. The rules for time limits will be stricter and that also goes for the Dean and board members.

I know one of the biggest things I will be looking for in board members is history. Someone I know pretty well, good or bad. I want members that have different styles then myself and members that won't just agree or disagree just because I am the BugCatcher.

I don't want to step on the toes of the Battling Arts program, although the Academy has done battling projects in the past. And also the fact I started the battling arts to keep the interest of members just in case the Academy did reopen. I never thought the battling arts would be it's own dance, just something to merge back into the Academy when reopened.

It's great that you can get this whole thing started up again! After that one thread that I posted quite a while ago, I thought it was never coming back again, but now it is! yay! ;)

I see 6 entries, let's do something to kill time. Post or PM links to your best 5 farming events you have done. If you have not done any farming events, then something showing battle reports. Like if you challenged a gym and the gym leader made a comment about the battle, post or PM a link to that.



Also wanted to point out, I thank the person for the negative rep on this thread.

It helps me decide who is mature enough to be on the board. Of course they left no name, but I can guess it down to 3 out of the 6 applicants, by common denominator figure it down to 2, and then with a coin flip down to 1.

I have made no selections and have done nothing more then PM 4 of the applicants about what I was looking into. If the PM or my post hit a nerve, I am sorry. I am doing nothing more then looking to see who wants to do it and who is just putting their name up.

You weren't looking into anything - you just said that BA was a joke and we had next to no chance in getting a place. That is not inquiring in something, sorry. Don't twist the truth.

Oh, and before you blame anyone else, I gave you the neg - you had already sent the PM and then you made this post which was an outright lie. Calling me immature doesn't swing, seeing as your the one who's acting immature really.

I am not going to take any further part in becoming a board member.

Oh and by the way, I know that you insulted me in a PM convosation with someone else. I find it weak that you didn't have the guts to tell me face to face.

Thank you for all that applied and posted their events. I am planning on keeping the board setting small. I would still like to wait a few more days too see if anyone else is interested.

Please note also, a board position is mostly only going to help with brainstorming and planning the assignments. I ran into the past and currently that having more then one person doing the teaching never seems to work out.

I just know when it comes to the events, I know my schedule and can do the events around it. Having like 4 other teachers can run into trying to work around 5 schedules.

But having board members help with ideas for events, well then I am still planning around my schedule with the help of others. It also helps with not having everyone farm my way or having everything my way. Which come on, we all know how much this site could use 5 or 6 more BugCatcher-like farmers. :o he-he.
