This will be NOT ONLY the first Coolness Contest held in PokeFarm, but THE VERY FIRST Contest as well. As long as it's October 16, Eliminations will start. The judges will contact you via PM for the Trade Inspection. You are on your own to set a schedule with your partner for your battle. And then you must report back the result. And yes, Coordinator = contestant. It's what they're called in the show, lol. Thanks for registering! =)

Cyndaman, no offense, but you are not reliable when it comes to tournaments. You recently were disqualified from my Little Normal Cup Tournament for not showing up, despite knowing in advance when we had to battle. I didnt even get one Pm from you about not showing up. We even gave you an additional 5 days to show yourself or reveal your status. In order to join this tournament, you are going to have to give your word that you won't miss this one. If you do not show up, you will be banned from future tournaments. Just a warning....:)

In a cute contest I think it would be fairly easy to distinguish a cute pokemon from a not so cute pokemon, but with a cool contest...isn't that more of an opinion.

Should we be looking into who the judges think are cool and not who we think are cool? Are there pokemon that are defined as "cool" some where.

Sorry if it's a silly question but if I work on all the other aspects of this contest (moves, natures, pokeballs etc.) I would hate to screw that all up buy bringing an uncool pokemon. :oops:

i think its easy to tell what people think is cool. tough looking pokemon that also just have cool looks...wait im just confusing you. well look at it this way i think delibird is cool because of its present attk but it dosent exactly look cool. just use pokes you know people think look cool.

@ toys4life: Good question. =) Well, there is no specific way of defining "cool", but the Pokemon's type can sometimes be a factor. For instance, a lot of Grass-type moves are also smart moves, so a Grass-type Pkmn will automatically have some credentials as smart. Not saying that only Grass Pkmn are smart. For instance, Xatu isn't Grass Pkmn but is smart b/c Psychic moves are often smart too. As for the Cool/Tough dilemma, I'll give you a hint. Too much muscles can be creepy. And creepy isn't cool. o.O

Intuition tells me that 2 or more people will not be showing up in this Contest since I have not received any replies from some members. So if that's the case, the Razorbeam, you will be battling another person who has no partner. And if that's not that the case, I will personally battle you. =) I will only be doing the battle part. If you win, you get 10 points. If you lose, then you don't. Same goes for anyone else without a partner. Either celph77 or I will battle you.

By the way: THE TOP HALF OF COORDINATORS WITH THE HIGHEST SCORE IN THE HEART GAUGE WILL BE PROCEEDING TO THE NEXT ROUND. The Battle does not completely determine your win/loss. Sorry for not specifying that.

i have been reading a lot in Serebii about Contest similar to these.
Each pokemon can be classified as cool, smart, cute ,etc.
Their Nature says a lot. there are compatibility table. according to the table, the best nature for Cool is either Lonely or Brave because of what poffins they would like to eat.
Cool poffins are Red or Spicy (althought after i had mine inspected, i totally forgot to feed mine)
Now each move have pre-assigned number of hearts.
i assume these are the basis of judging from Nak and Celph. Otherwise it will be totally subjective. That means... we need to suck up. ha ha ha !

I have really enjoys this contest so far :-D

I have learned SOOO much stuff for this contest.

I already told you Nak but for everyone else, here is a list of things things that I had never really done before this contest.

FIRSTS FOR ME
-Attempting to figure out my Pokemon's IV's
-Baking Poffins
-Seeking out Ribbons
-Buying Seals
-Getting Seals from the Kids
-Decorating my Poke balls
-Breeding a bazillion Pokemon just to get right nature and/or gender and then another dozen or so more for better IV's

As for comparing it to the normal cup I got pwned by Westcoastninja so that contest could have been better :wink:

I think it is an intimation factor. I was freaked out going into the normal cup and after going up against you WCN I knew I had a reason.

There is a big difference between playing in the game and using moves because they look cool versus going up against people that have studied moves and tactics for breeding purposes and thus know how to apply them in battle.

In order to make Poffins, simply visit the Poffin House. This is in Hearthome City. Inside, speak to the woman standing next to the Poffin Cooker. This device allows you to cook Berries, which will then turn into a delicious Poffin.
