I Love Poké mons: Challenge 4

Hmm, let's see challenge 4 finally. First off, teams are done. Blue Team has crushed their opponents in the first 3 challenges. So where would this leave the red team? Well they are all eliminated for good. Looking over the events, I see little attempt from the red team.

I would like each member within the next 3 days, that is Friday, July 17th by 8:00 PM(GMT -05:00) to say if they are still in this or not. Don't reply by this day and time, you are eliminated automatically.

What will challenge 4 bring? We have, wrote and essay stating why you would like to be a gym leader assistant. We have built a baby Pokémon on paper. We have done art to see who would do whatever.

Well I know I said somewhere there is a good chance of no challenge being a battle. Well by looking at the remaining members I see something in common. Only 1 of you actually have the little badge. I believe rj61 has beat me once, but if I remember correctly it was during the one week wait you had to wait to rechallenge. And for meeker who has beat me for the bad, I believe we had a bit of a discussion about one of the Pokémon you used. This most likely will flood my gym with a super powered Poké, but I will fill everyone in. Meeker used a Meditite. Which by this forum is legal. However on about 95% of the other sites Meditite is not allowed because of it's Ability Pure Power. Pure Power doubles Meditite's attack power, turning a normal level 1 base 6 ATK Meditite into a 12 ATK Poké. Which is bigger then any base DEF for any little battle Poké allowed. Then combine that with a Drain Punch and you have a very healthy Meditite. Not that I am saying that is why I was beat. There are counters for everything. I was just caught off guard and amazed. Ask Cinder about catching me off guard and amazing with one beefy Poké.

Anyway, what I would like to know is how long do you think it would take you to get ready to battle? I have a team I am using and about 3 teams in the works. So either way I am ready.

On Friday I'll be gone for a week in the caravan, where obviously, WiFi will probably not be. If my iPod gets a connection I'll try to chat, but for my DS it seems I'll be cut-off. But, I'd like to ask if I can have that week and maybe a day to raise a team?

I know I was on the red team but why was I eliminated? I posted an entry in every competition and have been very dedicated to this competition, it just doesn't seem fair for me to get eliminated just because I was on the red team.

And on another part, shouldn't the red team have another chance? A Wild Card or an exclusive red team event to get 1 member back into the running maybe? I mean, some people in this competition may not have deserved to be eliminated while the blue team conquered.

You were eliminated once before and got rewarded with sticking around for a few extra events. You did not manage to win an event to get yourself back into the game and now that teams are eliminated, the red team are just single eliminated members, hence no open slots for eliminated members.

I can have a team up and revving in a week. The problem is that from the 17-24 I will not most likely have internet or wi-fi access as all be at a resort with my friend and his family for those days. By chance could I do the battle after I return?

One more thing *Jackie Chan reference* Are you asking for us to challenge the gym? Or are you asking for us to challenge each other? I know this was asked by RJ but I didn't understand the answer.

I am not going to argue and I am not going to change the layout of the game. The teams went away and the red team was eliminated members.


And a side note, do you think arguing with the gym leader holding an event is a good way to get things done?

I need ganstapikachu to post that he is still in. To me if one member is posting saying my brother is still in, it makes me wonder if there is a brother or if it is just one person. Sorry if that is rude, but that is the old ADMIN in me being suspicious.

I read I had to respond by yesterday, however, I was gone because one of the campers had to stay another night because of reasons that I shouldn't have brought up in the first place. I doubt that you will be allowing me to participate, but could you please make any acception? I know that my name has been dragged through the mud lately, because of what I have done, however, I'd just like to continue working in what I love. I completely understand if you send me out of the competition; I would just like you to understand why I haven't responded up to this point.

EDIT: Also, I already have a team all prepared. I also have quite a few in reserve.

I'd like to say, that how soon I battle you, depends on your curiosity, as well as your patience. I am currently breeding two new members for my team on platinum, since I've already completed the first member. Breeding both shouldn't take more than a week altogether. I would wish to battle around that time. (I'd like to bring up, that with a constantly changing schedule, it isn't best for me to be planning things too far ahead in the future.)
However, if you wish to battle as soon as possible, I could battle quite soon with a less than interesting team; one that you have seen in battle before, on my pearl. That battle could probably be done within a week.

Nice battle T roo. Your team is very annoying he-he. Just a tip, secondary damages like Burn, Poison, Stealth Rocks, and etc. don't do a whole lot of damage. More of a gamble with the low accuracy.

Giving away my leads attack can allow people to come prepared for that move-set. Knowing a tactic is more important then knowing what pokémon I use to perform that tactic.

Say my lead does Sunny Day and then Solarbeam, someone could come ready with a Chlorophyll Poké to out speed me or a Fire Poké to just OHKO me.

Nice battle rj. You had the right idea, but my team still has some tricks. ;)

Don't be so hard on yourself. This whole contest is about getting more familiar with little battles. It is a whole different ballgame that I had a crash course in. Your team was well planned, but my lead counters it's weaknesses well. My new Poké is showing some talent and is surprising me every battle.

Nice battle meeker. Like looking into a mirror the way your team was laid out. Your team was well bred as well, all had perfect level 1 stats in every stat. I made one tiny mistake when I brought Scuttle in, should have brought Dime out and I think that would have changed the entire battle. I believe Dime could have finished off your 2nd Poké and then did some damage to last, which Scuttle would have been full HP in waiting. One of those moves that you kick yourself for after the battle.
