If anyone has been following my blog you will notice that I have been doing a lot of chaining lately and in my blogs I recommend synchronizers to bring to help get a shiny with a beneficial nature. I’m sure many of you wonder how you can bring a pokemon with enough moves to KO 40 pokes in a row, have a False Swiper, a status inducer, a HM slave and still have the right synchronizer on your team. Natu/Xatu is one solution to a pokemon that can cover Fly and Defog and double as your synchronizer.
While Xatu has a higher base Sp Attack than its base Attack, it has a nice movepool as a Physical Attacker.
These pokemon have a Jolly nature ( + Speed, - SpAttack) and a move-set to take advantage of their speed.
Drill Peck (Flying, STAB, Power 80, Acc 100)
One of the best Flying attacks. Power and no recoil damage.
Zen Headbutt (Psychic, STAB, Power 80 Acc 90)
A powerful physical STAB move with a 20% chance of causing an opponent to flinch.
U-Turn (Bug, Power 70, Acc 100)
Allows you to get in a super effective attack against Dark types and other Psychics and switches you out after the attack.
Roost (Flying)
Restores half of its HP while dropping its Flying type (and its weaknesses) for the rest of the turn.
These Natus have the ability of Synchronize. In battle if they are Poisoned, Paralyzed or Burned, they pass the status back to the opponent if possible. Outside of battle, wild pokemon will be 50% likely to have a Jolly nature if this pokemon is in the lead spot.

The synchronizing ability works even when the pokemon has fainted, as do the HM moves. If you plan to use it that way let me know as I kept several Jolly synchronizers that had flaws in their IVs, but will still work well for this purpose

These Natus have the ability of Early Bird. If an opponent puts you to sleep, it lasts from 1 to 5 turns. Early Bird not only cuts that in half, but it also rounds down. Three turns of Sleep become one turn and one turn causes them to wake up without missing a turn. If you use Rest, instead of waking after two turns of Sleep, it wakes up after only one missed turn.
