Little Battle Ventures
.. Months have gone by and here I sit, looking out this one solitary window. The previous gym leader built this gym so tiny and cramped. Not that I am saying anything bad of the former owner, I bet he picked his nose though, as evidence has been left under the arms of this old wooden throne. Months of sitting here staring at the pictures of himself and some odd hairless cat, somewhat evil. I began to go stir crazy. I had to get out and build a gym of my own. But where to build, I mean all the major cities had established gyms. I would have to look outside of the normal requirements that cities had to have to support a gym.
.. So out on a search I went. From the islands of Sevii and Hoenn, trekking snowy mountains of Sinnoh, camping in the heavily forested mountains of Kanto, and finally bumming the beaches of Johto, I found nothing. No gym less cities with enough space for a new grand monument. So back to the dampness of the current Little Battle Gym. Well maybe a stop by my farmhouse in Cherrygrove City.
.. Ah good old Cherrygrove. A great town for the beginning trainer to get their feet wet. Tourism is the city’s main money maker. Boosting the rights to some of the greatest writers and artist of the Johto region and the greatest bug collecting in any region, Cherrygrove still does not have the space to build a gym. Although I did manage to build quite a large farm just outside of town, I did notice the number of empty stalls here. My farming services have declined lately and I guess I don’t need all this space. So I will donate the land around Cherrygrove Bay back to the town and start construction on a new gym.
.. So we held a big town meeting and invited a few special artists to help with designs. With a giant grassy field battle floor, the gym will also house a desert oasis and an ice block maze. The main attraction to the gym will be an onsite daycare, allowing for those last minute hatchings before battle. I wanted a waterfall, but something about town regulations and flooding of buildings has put a halt on that. With the Machokes building away, and plans coming for a rock wall and forest tree huts, Cherrygrove City has given birth to the Hatchling Gym, the biggest little gym in all the world of Pokémon.
