Obviously standard forum rules apply, with one addition: DO NOT reveal the makeup of anyones team. The Gym Leader, a challenger's, anyones.

Thank you all for helping me christen the new Forge Gym!! This is the third gym I've run, but the first time I've had three battles in a row :o Let alone on my first night.

Oh definately a good match. I could of done with out the crit+flinch combo on B-dude. I think your team is really good and it is only a matter of time untill I defeat you(1 week) :p

Baguio - Excellent Match! You almost had me a couple of times & I only won by the skin of my teeth!

I was gambling Cambrien's opponent not having Grass Knot. I lost & was on the defensive for most of the rest of the fight.

Pikalova13. Great battle & a great team. You really know when to switch out & how to cover weaknesses.

I'm pretty sure I'd have done better if Cambrian hadn't missed *TWICE* against Dolly, but what can you do? :D

That's the danger of using 90% accuracy moves. 10% of the time, they miss. It's pretty rare that that happens twice in a row, but if there was no luck involved they would call it chess. :cool:

I was really holding my breath when the Sting's Earthquake damage was coming off Nuriev. Had he done just a bit more you would have gotten me!

I am speechless when The Sting survived that move of Nuriev's with 1 hp I was like wow. I'm pretty glad that Ahkmed was able to get that sp.def drop on your Lead and to take out your red dude. Good game.

You know, two of my three losses so far were to that same tactic. Time to make some changes to the team...

thanks ^^. i should switch more and know what to expect from my opponents =/ but i get t scared that my pokes wont take the damage .

I complement you on an excellently timed use of Protect. IMHO that was the moment you won, even though I still had 4 Pokemon at that point, I was behind & never came back :)

Im glad mt silver was saved it was his first battle but I agree
I really thought CC was coming but it was a VERY hard battle

I was afraid if I stuck with Cambrien's previous move I might miss, and figured the move I used was safer. I totally forgot about Baby ability :oops:

Indeed! I had 3 people around me yelling and curing at those misses!
It took a LOT of scouting and prediction to try and shut down your main attackers. I found it funny when we had a similar lead tactic.
Getting my final badge and becoming the first Australian champion couldn't have gone down any better.

I sent in the very pokemon I just switched out a turn earlier back in to get OHKOed by your Physical Sweeper & from there on it was your match to lose :)

And don't let me take away from your win. You had a great team. I was really sorry to see Omusuta go down so quick. I have *never* seen that pokemon in a gym battle before. (which IMHO, explains why you may have won the badge on your first try. Most people bring nothing but a squad of OUs that I've seen over and over again. I know how to beat them. Great match Baguio! You had an almost completely different (and very old school) team compared to your last challenge. Lassou really gave me fits in the middle of the battle. He went down from recoil damage more than anything I did to him :o

You are really getting better! This match had me really worried.

Little Trivia: The first three badges I gave out after taking over the forge gym were to teams that had the same Lead as yours did using the same first move. ElGuapo was, in part, bred to deal with that very strategy.

After ElGuapo set up the speed boost gave me the edge over your well-put together team. I was really excited to see Boroque. That is the first time I've seen his species in a Gym Challenge! Had Cambrian not been there he would have done a lot of damage.

Really? I've only seen one other of Kuzunoha in Gym battles...and I think it was from my event, ha ha. I wasn't at all prepared for El Guapo to appear at the beginning...it didn't fit into my master plan at all. ^_^; Your strategy from there kinda ruined me. I hope to try again soon; great match!

You did a great job of shutting down my opening, and then worked me over for most of the match. I think Kopesh getting his second Swords Dance in let me close the gap..

..but man, it doesn't get any closer than that...o3o

At this point it's just a matter of time until you find a way around me. Once you figure out how to crack the raw durability of my Shinkansen/Kopesh combo I think you have me. (Not that you aren't trying, no one ever expects somebody to survive an Explosion. But Shinkansen has about half a dozen times to far..)

Yeah; I figured that Explosion wouldn't kill it, but I didn't have much of an other option...and once it didn't, I pretty much knew you'd get in before Paion and KO it. *snaps fingers* I guess I saved this Gym for last for a good reason...you're doing an awesome job. Perhaps too awesome... lol

A very well played match. You really worked me over early on, at mid match you were ahead of me 5-3. You just didn't have a counter to Shinkansen and he allowed me to come from behind.

I'm not sure I understood having C U-Turn on me? Had that been a Baton Pass Taiga may have swept me.

I was scared at the end that you would BP me so thats why I kept my fighting type out but you used a different move and I couldnt save him. But ARAKCO helped me win this one big time. Good luck with the rest of you matches as well.

I think you played very well. You have come a long way since I swept you 5-0 (and didn't get 6-0 because I exploded Mokugyo). Sacrificing your Fighting type was really the way to go. It let you come in on me fresh with Arakco. If you had switched him in the hit followed by the Bullet Punch next round would have given me the match. As it was, if Shinkansen had survived that hit Arashi was going down in the next hit.

A good choice!

I generally never mind losing by one hit, which is what happened here!

Yeah I was really not sure what to do at tha second but I just took a chance and it was the right one :)

And when you beat me 5-0 those pokes werent bred for battle or EV trained at all. I had know idea what EV or IVs were until about 3 days later then I started doing stuff the right way ^_^

This was a lot closer than the records show.

I am a bit suprised that ElGuapo was able to take a STABed Draco Meteor! He is a tough little guy, but I didn't see that coming :cool: If he hadn't had the turn to setup I don't think anyone I had left could have stood up to your dragon.

Also, although I haven't seen one of his species in my gym yet, Jazz may well have been the perfect counter for about 2/3 of my team. I'm just lucky a well timed explosion (with a critical!) took him out of the running :eek:

I think you are right. My wild-cards take a lot of folks by surprise, but once you know they are coming Jazz makes a lot of sense.

His species isn't as well suited for general battling as some others, but makes a *lot* of sense when you know my gym. I'm sure I'll see more once you come back & get your badge with him :)

What a match! You made me work for every KO & were not afraid to switch. You out-predicted me and wore my team down. Boa was by far your MVP in that battle, I was really surprised at how tough he was. :eek:

Thanks =D Boa really saved me in this match, since it was his frist match I was impresed too since it isn't as bulky as others pokes of the same type it really hurt to discover what other moves your pokes had, at the end I was alread prepared to lose some luck really helped there

I was really impressed with your ability to switch out of a move that was about to KO you with your HP in the red and bring in another Pokemon with HP in the red and survive the hit anyway. You did it at least twice.

I was really biting my nails in this match.

I guessed right when locking my last Pokemon into a choice move not knowing who your last teammember was. If I had guessed the other way you would have had the match!

Yeah; once I switched in the last one, I realized you were super-effective against it and realized I didn't have much of a chance left. Berlioz did well this time; I switched around some items and it seemed to do better.

Maybe our lucky 7th battle could be our last...? ^_^;
