Is it fair for the leaders to make excuses as to why they can't battle?

Just been trying to get a battle on the thunderdome Ladder from pikaluva, but all I get is the excuse "My pokemon are rubbish" and etc.

Surely, thats just trying to monopolize the lead of the ladder, and if he won't accept challenges and is just keeping the lead, surely they shouldn't be allowed to take all the prizes which come from being the leader of the ladder?

And its not as if I didn't let him challenge me when I was leading too, I lost, and he won, propelling him to the lead. He's accepted my challenge and isn't allowing me to actually properly battle him >_>

Is this really considered fair? I don't think so... he's battling other people too, he just won't battle me, always making excuses, saying he's busy, or he'll battle me tommorow, or even just now, when i asked him, he said flat out no, and then said yes to another.

You must remember pokemon is a game, its pixels in a DS and data on a card. People have other things to do. Much like me there are time I just dont feel like battle. Also how can you call them excuses he may genuinely be doing something.

But, just now, after I asked for a thunderdome battle, when he said no, he just gave you a yes... >_>

So the excuse right now was rubbish.

I guess if he had the time to battle you, then he did have the time to battle me... >_>

so it still mounts to the same excuse.

And if its of any interest, when he was leading the ladder a couple of weeks ago, he wouldn't let me battle him either, only after I took the lead, would he battle me, which just shows he wants to have the lead, and just ignore any challenges which he could lose and therefore knock him off the top.

Ok i just want to point out that
1) I told you I'd battle when i had a new pokemon
2) The other person and I weren't really battling...do you really think they'd OHKO each of my pokemon? It was their suggestion and we were doing it to make you mad...we were kidding...
3) i never ever said that i didn't want to battle because my pokemon were "rubbish" as you have stated. What i said was: "I will battle you when i have a pokemon that is good that you don't know everything about...you have like tons of pokemon you could use, while i have 6 good pokemon that i could use...and none of them are Tdome material
4) Also, why would i want to battle you when you are sending me constant extremely rude requests like (taken from skype)

Seriously, I'll drop it completely if you'd just let me have a battle.

I'm gonna note that you didn't list all my less jokey ones towards the end though, you're just showing half the truth.

but I will admit... they all are part of the same 2-3 minutes... way before we actually got to get asking seriously, and debating why you wouldn't battle me. And its also worth noting just before that we were joking about pirates too... so its not just me.

I'd like to suggest you take your problems to the Moderator in charge, or an Admin instead of posting in the forum. It is a proven fact that posts like this only leads to harsh words, hurt feelings, and infractions.

the ones you just listed were the more jokey ones, there are more which were less like that and more normal.
