Just like in the real games, have 6 pokemon in your party and you can switch them in and out. In Pokefarm you can select up to 6 slot pokemon, and which order they go in, Then when you battle you can switch them in and out and face your opponent that also has 6. This will make it more game-like.
What do you think?

I think that that would be very hard to do for if a person were to battle another person...i mean, think of how bad for the opponent it'd be. Unless Steve made it so that the only time that happens is if they fight via the pokemno farm, where you'd have it turn based or something...i just think it'd be hard to code into the game...not that i would know though

It would be easier to incorporate shoddy into the game.

oh, by any chance could you do that, but not make it need java? (my java doesn't work) :p
Well why not just go play your DS then?
I really do not share the belief that this needs to be exactly like the DS games. What's the point then? I like that there's a different strategy to this game because of the differences between it and the DS games.

And If you did, I would be ecstatic.
Would you/Could You?

I read somewhere that your adding moves.

I stumbled upon that thought it to be useful.

*Feels Stupid*
Hehe. Welp. Hopefully attacks start soon, Im growing angry of my level 82 Tyranitar being killed by stupid pokemon in the Battle Tent. Also I hope to god there will be TM's because If my TTar has a horrible moveset after like 20hrs training I will be cheezed off, But I suppose I would just train another one. Basicly what Im asking is when is the time you hope for this to be finished. If you need I can help you with the attacks. I coded 100 some in SadScript for PLO the other day :D
I for one like it without moves as it makes the strategy into something different than the same ol' stuff we do all the time on our DSes. A different metagame! I'm tired of TTar ruling the world...
So no rush, Steve. :)

TTar rules the world atm already. Because no pokemon can really counter it. Seeing as most people use Raichu :S I want to make my Char a bellydrummer.
Not true. Send your TTar my way, I will teach it a lesson. I have lots of counters to your TTar.

Im not saying its unbeatable, I should rephrase my last statement. Ttar is not that easy to counter, according to the most popular pokemon. And most of the time you know which pokemon you will be battling so you can switch pokemon.

The absolutely BEST counter to TTar now are Machamp and Primeape, and maybe Poliwrath. They all own him easily. TTar wins in combats where neither side has a better typing though!

Never seen Primeape or Poli, I better train up my Machamp to counter a Ttar. But still you have to agree at the moment. Ttar is like the 2008 Salamence of Pokefarm.

*waves hand mysteriously*
Just because you have not seen it, does not mean it does not exist
I still disagree. TTar has other weaknesses that have no weakness to him, and the stats aren't SO different that the 2x weakness goes unnoticed.

I know that Kay, but it wins in neutral combat just about 100% of the time, and the fact that the TR game has different way of calculating type weaknesses, I feel TTar in some ways are stronger than elsewhere! For example, TTar will beat a Venusaur because of it's Poison typing that makes the fight neutral. Fighting types will win, but then again, all Pokes have counters!

Tyranitar is the bane of TR.

A single type Water Pokemon should take TTar down every time.
Or ground, or bug, or steel, or grass. In fact most of the pokemon I have trained up a whole lot will totally own TTar. :)

Single type bugs, okay, and maybe some dual types, but the flying or poison variety have problems. For steels I agree. Grass, here many have unfavourable dualtypes (Tropius, Venusaur). Sure, the single type ones win, but not all types do! Water I have to agree as well.
But you got to look at those stats! With such awesome stats it can probably level the field against some of the ones it "should" lose to. All Pokemon have counters, but I believe TTar to be the one with least, as it can beat nearly all Pokemon where it isn't weak to the opponent, something no other Pokemon can boast to my knowledge.

My thoughts exactly.

Oh, and TTar will be the BEST Mewtwo counter when that beast becomes used! Not even all bugs will manage taking down that bad boy, but TTar can specially and physically.
Shayden

Oh Yeah Dark/Ground
Mewtwo will be uber abused, And Ttar will help level the playing field.

I find my Golem is very good at taking out everything except straight Water and Grass types.

Maybe, haven't tried it a lot, but on the defensive it's poor against all neutral special attacks! That means it's only an offensive weapon really.

Venasuar and Poliwrath apparently are semi-common lead.

I have another suggestion about the Battle System by the way. It's hard to remember how many times you've attacked people, so some sort of timer that starts when you've attacked somebody, that is removed after 24 hours. This does not have to actively stop you, just let you know with a glance how many times you've attacked. Sure I could try doing this myself, but I tend to forget writing it down and then get unsure, so this method would be SO much better! It would be easier to code for war time also I guess, so that you don't have to remove a hard-coded stop when war is on.

I am looking into this but currently I am seeing erroneous messages showing up where people are attacking people they can not attack due to level restrictions.
Shayden

Why not just make a level restriction?
