If you are reading this you are likely either a new recruit for Team Rocket or a seasoned member looking for an edge in battle. Either way this short article is designed to give you just enough information to make your Pokemon Hunting experience a little more rewarding.

In the Team Rocket game here on PokeFarm there is an option in the Explore area to go hunting for Pokemon. Every town in the game offers a slightly different selection of Pokemon that can be caught in a PokeBall. Currently only PokeBalls are used when hunting for Pokemon but that will likely change in the future.

The Basics:

The act of Pokemon Hunting costs you one point of energy whether you find one or not. A PokeBall is only consumed if you find a Pokemon (catching is currently automatic).

You are free to hunt as long as you have the energy and at least one PokeBall.

When hunting for Pokemon you have a base 25% chance of catching something. Each Pokemon that can be caught in a given town has a base 5% chance of being caught.

When a Pokemon is captured its IVs are generated and the dice are rolled to see if it is shiny. If you get lucky and pull a shiny rejoice, for you are one of the few!

All Pokemon are level one when captured and can not take part in the Battle Tent until they have gained at least one level.

There really is not much more than this to the current Pokemon Hunting system. Feel free to post questions and I will update this post as new information becomes avaialble.

And I have a pineco for sale, Shayden - just because they're not available now, doesn't mean they weren't available once.

Rotom, by the way, was available over Halloween ^_^

Towns you can access is based on level. I believe the first new town opens up at level 10. Work on leveling up and then you can access new places.

yeah, why'd it start going out of order, at forst it was going up by 10's now its by 20's when you get to the higher levels, i think thats good motivation to make people actually wanna level up, it makes the game more challenging
