I went to check on a pokemon in my party and noticed a little smiley face on the summary. Does that mean it has the virus?:-D

sorry but it means that it has just been cured of the pokerus

Here's how pokerus works:

If the Pokemon has Pokerus for 24 hours outside the box, it'll get a little smile face. That means its still under the effects of Pokerus, but it won't be able to spread it.

So to keep it for spreading, throw one junk Pokemon with it in the box and save it for later.

yes, the smiley face is sign that it had pokerus and was cured.
be careful , if you have a pokemon who has an uncured pokerus, it will spread to the rest of pokemon in your party (but not in the box). If you have (i know you have ^_^) pokemon that you want to be kept untouched, you don't want to catch the virus since the smiley face will be there permanently.
