I have a team of Pokemon (go figure:rolleyes:) that I want to bring up to competitive level.
This is the same team of Pokemon that I used it Pokemon Leaf Green.

As You can see, I have already taken advantage of some of the new moves and items of Gen4.
I have been busy with breading my preferred Pokemon team, the ones showed on my Pokemon Card.
So save for my high flying Aerodactyl I have not leveled any of them up on my Pokemon Pearl.
Thank you for reading my thread, I thank all in advance who help me.

First for Gyarados. He's one of the ones I've gone through the game with :P, His moveset i'd suggest would be
Waterfall (already have; stab)
Ice Fang (already have; for those annoying Dragons)
EarthQuake (Gyarados is 4x effected by Elec; Earthquake does away with many of his opposition, making it hard for them to switch into)
Dragon Dance (More power and speed, sign me up!)
I don't know 'bout Poliwrath. It seems with Modest he'll have a high sp attack too. He learns Hypnosis which is one of the high accurate sleeping moves....I'm not sure what to do for him but here's what I think.
Hypnosis/Substitute
Focus Punch
Surf/Waterfall
Psychic/Ice Beam/Earthquake/Anything really.
Hypnosis + Focus Punch. OUCHIES! Even if they switch out, It will hit.
For Raichu I'm not too sure either. I don't think he needs 2 thunder moves and rocksmash is pretty weak in power.
Thunderbolt
Iron Tail
Grass Knot (Now your method of killing ground/rock that elec hates)
Hidden Power (Hopefully you get a good one; Maybe Ice if you're lucky)/Brick Break/Return/Thunderwave
Aerodactyl Let's see...
Earthquake (Good bye 2x electric weakness)
Rock Slide (Stab)
Aerial Ace/Fire Fang/Ice Fang
Aerial Ace/Fire Fang/Ice Fang
Aerial Ace = Stab, Fire Fang = for Steels, Ice Fang = for Dragons
I'm unsure what you want for Venusaur and Snorlax :S
Though I'd suggest Leech seed and Stun Powder for Venusaur and maybe a rest/sleep talk for Snorlax?

For Snorlax, I would say something along the lines of
Double-Edge (egg move)
Yawn
Rest
Sleep Talk/Snore
Double-Edge has a little higher accuracy than the giga but at the cost of a little in the power (stab though). Prophet is right in the rest/sleep talk, plus the rest will help out in the loss of HP from Double-Edge.
I like sleep talk but normally am pretty wary of putting something on a team that isn't predictable. But the problem with snore is that its power is pretty low (at least a stab bonus) but you know for sure that it will hit. Plus if your opponents asleep from Yawn, you could sleep and do damage to him/her for one turn or two and hopefully KO the poke then.
You might also want to think about including Rain Dance on one of your pokes. That would help out two fold. First your water pokes will be much stronger as well as making your Raichu's thunder accuracy jump to 100 (would suck for your Venusaur though).
For Venusaur,it depends on if you have Rain Dance (hurts grass pretty bad) in the group. I would say Solarbeam, Synthesis, Light Screen (egg move) and Poisonpowder.
Synthesis allows you to recoup your HP losses from losing a turn with Solarbeam.
Light screen is very nice since 75% of your weaknesses are from special attacks (fire, ice and psychic) while lowering even more the other special attacks which you are already strong against. Plus Light screen is sweet since it is for the whole group. So anyone you switch in will still have this in effect. So this would essentially reduce their attacks and allow you to stay in longer.
Poisonpowder is one move for annoying factor/distraction and taking a little life off for nothing.

Thank you both for the help, my team is in better shape now.:D

I would say teach Venusaur Toxic instead of Poisonpowder. Much more accurate and deadly. >=) Also, I would say teach Venusaur Sunny Day instead of Light Screen (Iono, I never thought it to be too effective, no offense =S), because Sunny Day not only speeds up your Solarbeam Atacks, it also allows you to restore more than just half its HP (3/4 I think?). Then again, all those moves take too long to use. I like my Pokemon to be sweepers and wipe out the other Pokemon's HP before they can attack. But that's just me. Lol XD Speaking of which, I need to fix up my Cherrim @_@
