Nintendo has always made it imposable to collect all the Pokemon with only one game.

For better or worse they made it so you would have to trade with the other games to get all of the non legendary.

I was wondering that to simplify trading if we were given the option of joining groups that represented each of the new games.

Group Pokemon Pearl

I can't figure why they made a group function in the game, but you can only be in a group by being wireless not wi-fi. Another good idea that Serebii instated, but its members hated, was breaking Pokemon down by their original regions, Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh. They then made a thread in each region forum section, the threads were like Bulbasaur, anyone looking for any member of the Bulbasaur evolution family just went there to ask for trades. Saved from having a thousand post asking for Cyndaquil, when you could just go to Cyndaquils region forum and look for its thread and post there. The way things are though I don't know if more groups are the way to go. I think the Gym idea is awesome, but right now there is a low turnout for challengers. I wonder what will happen when all the people that care to battle win their badges and beat the Elite 4, where to move on from there. Could do like Jubilife City with a random daily trainer.

Thats very good and useful information, but I was thinking of more of a passive system.

Basically an ability to show what game you have with out having to be asked.

I think it would save time if I can look at someones public profile as see that there ether use a Pokemon Pearl or Diamond.

No, there are pokemon that you can not catch in Pokemon Yellow.
Heres the list:

Weedle, Kakuna, Beedrill, Ekans, Arbok, Meowth, Persian, Koffing, Weezing, Jynx, Magmar, and Mew.

Steve, you could add a new field to show what games you have just like you did for the Friend Codes.

If someone wants to make me some small gifs the same size as the badges I will do something along those lines.

yea quit making extra work for steve
hes got enough on his hands as it is im sure
answering all those other requests for boy/girl symbols and stuff like that
lets let him finish what he has now instead of making extra work

Steve was not saying he is to busy to make images. The images must be made for Steve to add them to the list. Not everyone is artistically inclined. Sometimes not posting when you don't understand something is the best thing to do.

I think what I will be doing is dumping the current DS Friend code option from the user profile and replace it with one for Diamond and one for Pearl. These will then show up with an icon to the left of them or they may work as badges do where you mouse over them for the information.
