Ability's

When a Pokemon evolves does its ability changes if there is two ability's to chose from?
Is the ability fixed?
Or can you save before evolving your Pokemon and if you don't get the ability you want soft reset and try again?

I am very interested to know the answer.

I am pretty sure that a pokemon's ability and the abilities of it's evolved forms are fixed before they hatch; just like IVs are.

if you soft reset the ability should change eventually.

the ability changes when it evolves yes, and it is a set ability change that will happen.

if u look on serebii.net, the top ability will go to the evolved forms top ability on their list..

e.g. horsea -

swift swim
sniper

seadra -

poison point
sniper.


swift swim --> poison point
sniper - sniper.
