Legendaries

We all love to collect legendaries because either they look cool or they are awesome in battles. we train them and try to take them to battle. But guess what, a lot of tournaments including the Battle Tower do not allow using Legendaries . then what sort of fun can we get from it if we can't play with it.

What if there is a contest that only legendaries battle each other ? Would you be interested?

Assuming Yes and majority would join, what sort of rules would you like ? Should it be one vs one ? should there be a Journey like Kanto to Sinnoh stage by stage ? should it be by points system or just pure battle ? would it be free for all or challenge the judge type ?

what sort of prize be awarded for the winner/winners ?

I would like to hear your opinion.

aaaw, not a single one ? are you an Anti-legendary ? Palkia/Dialga too ?
when i saw Dialga the first time , i said to myself " gotta get Pokemon Diamond" but now, he just part of my computer screensaver.

I'm not really anti-legendary.....it's just that everyone has fun with pokemon a bit differently, some do they best to complete the game fully, some like to breed, some like to collect stuff, etc. I like to raise pokemon for competitve battling and think of interesting move sets. Since legendaries don't belong in competitve battling, I don't really need them.
And if Rotom is a legendary, that's the only one I have currently.

no rotom aint legend. i admit i thought it might be bcuz of that music that comes on when you battle it. but it is just a regular old non evolver

and it would be great to have atournement like this since all of my high lvls are legends and the prize should be something really rare or a legendairy that the person doesnt have

rotom isnt a lengendary because u can breed it and u cant breed legendaries

Yeah nothing makes Rotom even close to a Legendary. Manaphy took away that all Legends can't breed statement. Rotom's Stats and move-set is not anywhere near that of common OU tier POkemon.

I think that the one vs. one would probably be the best, that way you can see how the legendaries can stand up to their familiar counterparts, you know the legends that are closest to them, I would totally get into that.

The problem with that is that lots of legendaries are trinitys, such as Moltres articuno and zapdos, or Groudon Kyogre and Rayquaza and the list goes on...

i gathered that there are only few Competitive Battlers here who are interested.
But i also notice some interest.
Here is some of the ideas that i am planning after Oct.31

a mystery cave, where members will enter to battle 3 guardians and finally a legendary.
the legendary will be untouched for purity and prize catch.
It will be a level 100 battle with me. i'll bring a random 3 pokemon that will try to defend before you encounter the Legendary. If you beat all 4 pokemon, you catch the legendary.
you can bring up to 6 pokemon of your choice. Should i exclude hacks such as Wondertombs? I'm still deciding. but maybe, this is your only chance to play it. i dont know yet. you must be able to trade after the battle.

Does this interest you? Should i announce the legendary or should i keep it mystery each week?

and i think u should keep the legendary a secret. it'll make it more dramatic and exciting.

also, i don't think hacks should be allowed to be used. it wouldn't be fair to all the people who worked hard to train their pokemon.

as for legendaries, u might consider not allowing them, as they do not measure your strength and are really cheap.

personally, i think this is a great idea, i think it should be 3 on 3, lv 100 double, and personally, i think dragon types should count as legends for this tournament

i also thought about tie-in from the Breeder's Frenzy into my new event mystery cave.
This morning, it dawn on me that i will call it " Enchanted Barn" it will be a level 100 battle of 4 of my pokemon. Contestants will be allowed to bring 5 level one pokemon + a bidoof.
This way no EV training is involved, it will be fair for non-battlers and this is the time they can show/use the nice movepool they have bred. the bidoof will be used to trade for the Shiny or Legendary as prize.
my 4 pokemon will consist of 3 level one pokemon as well + a surprize shiny or legendary.
I'd like to maintain the Pokefarm's main theme of farming well bred pokemon.

I think i will open a new thread for members to sign up and all the new details including the Wishing Well once Nak helps me out with a Story line.

2 Threads will be opened for this event.

First, the actual Enchanted Barn thread will contain the story line, the rules, the dates and contestant list. First come First Served.

Second, the Wishing Well. You can post a Wish in this thread ,what you would like to encounter in the Enchanted Barn. this way, the barn may try to grant one wish. if a Wish is not made, then any legendary or shiny will appear in your encounter inside the barn.

My goal is to open this barn every Monday night(sorry if this conflicts with your football schedule). Between the hours of 10PM to 12MN.

Originally, i am thinking of a limit of 10 participants per week. But then, i realized that might be exhausting. So, i will do maximum 5 per week. No shows, no 2nd chance.

That's too bad. i mean if you really really want to get one of the legendary wouldnt you want to stay up just a little bit for a night?
anyway, it is not yet set. so if i get more feedback on a better time slot. i will change it.
i just dont want to clash with other events like the Farm and Contest battles.
