i know theyre's alot of posts about evs, but my question is particular.lets say im ev training a waevile, 252 in atk and 252 in speed. i ev train in speed with starlys who give me 1 speed ev, right? well i kinda have 2 questions.

first, what will be my attack when i get to level 100 and weavile is completely ev trained, and lets say he has all the good iv and nature? is it gonna be 252/4 since 4 ev give one stat bonus? or is it something else?

second, to get 252 in atk this time, i beat bibarel, who give out 2 att evs, well do i have to beat 126 bibarels to complete the atk evs?

because im really messed up!

O.K. not real sure where to start. O.K. 252 EVs in Attack will add on 63 extra points in Attack, by level 100. You Attack by level 100 would depend on your IV and Nature, which you said would all be good. So an Adamant Weavile with 31 IVs in Attack and 252 EVs would have an Attack stat of 372 by level 100. You are correct in saying EVs are figured by every 4 EVs give you 1 Stat point.

If you fought Bibarels for 2 Attack EVs, yes you would have to fight 126 of them. You can cut this number in half again by wearing a Macho Brace which doubles your EVs gained. So you 2 EVs from Bibarel would now be 4 and make it so you only have to fight 63 Bibarels. You can crunch these numbers further, if your Pokemon has the PokeRus virus it recieves double EVs as well. So say you have a Weavile with POkeRus and the Macho Brace, you would not recieve 6 EVs from every Bibarel you fought, which is 42 Bibarels. You can once again shrink that list. If you have the Power Bracer from the Battle Tower you can add 4 Attack EVs from any battle you get into. So now we could get from 1 Bibarel, 2 EVs(PokeRus)(Power Bracer)= 8 EVs from each Bibarel. Which is now a training run of only 31.5 Bibarels.

NOTE:Could someone verify that the formula for Power Items is
(Pokemon EV x PokeRus) + Power Item = Result
OR
(Pokemon EV + Power Item) x PokeRus = Result

Isn't that 8 EVs? =S

2 (EV from Bibarel) x 2 (Pokerus) x 2 (Macho Brace)
