The Cobble And Forest Gyms are currently leaderless.

Please post in this thread if you want to be the Gym Leader for either of those Gyms. Be sure to include information on how often you are active on the forums.

First option will go to current Gym Leaders who want a change of pace.

Thank you Steve. This is a great opportunity.

I am currently assisting as Mine Gym Leader. Since i have a vast collection of pokemon, i was able to be open the gym in a very short time. I am on the site almost everyday and never ceased to think of ways to create an activity that will encourage more members to be involved and be interested.

As you can see, i have fulfilled all request for challenges and my record shows half succeeded in achieving the badge while the other half need to try again. In otherwords, i have trained my pokemon to be competitive enough to defend a Gym. I am not a professional but let's just say i learned pretty quickly.

i absolutely appreciate the opportunity you gave me as an assistant gym leader because this experience have been tremendous seeing that i still learn from my opponents.

As far as which Gym should i apply for, to me they are all equal. when i took the Asst. Mine Gym , i only had one pokemon that is originally part of my team Garchomp and was really worried that i would probably just hand out Mine Badges since they all know the weakness of my team. You can hand me the Gym that nobody wants and i will do my best to create a formidable team .

Once again, i will respect whatever decision you make.

For Cobble the Dark Type is an option and can be changed I believe. I know for the Forest Gym Grass is a lock and Poison can be changed.

This way Flying types are represented since Fen Gym did not want it. There were too many Gyms taking Dark since this is the most popular/favorite type eversince Gold/Silver came out :)

Andyc15 is undoubtedly spammy, but I know him very well and he is more than just that. He knows dedication and diligence. Also, I have battled him before, and he has proven to be a very skilled trainer. He would be an excellent choice for Forest Gym. I will even gladly watch over him and reprimand him if he "acts out" lol, j/k. Andy knows to behave properly when need be. He will be a great Leader if selected, I am sure.

i'm not impossibly hard. i just do the best i can . have you tried any of the Gyms before ? when i was conversing with the Mine Gym leader, we were saying Steel is sort of hard to defend. but i'm glad the Dragons helped in the Mine Gym typing. it sort of balanced out.

yes, i have. i defeated the Boulder Gym, but just as i applied for the Forest Gym, it closed down. Also, the other Gyms i've applied for haven't responded forever....so i'm still trying to find an availible Gym to battle. Some other history on Gyms is that over in Bulbagarden, we have a league we're setting up, and to become a gym leader, you had to battle to compete for the spot, and i got in.

SO!! if i become the next Forest Gym leader, i will try to always respond to challenging before the deadline!

the future gym leader should have experience and know pretty much basic stuff. c mon everyone can be a gym leader? dont think so. that why you should make a carefully choice.

and sure experience battle like razorbeam..

in my opinion people that want a chance should have at least one badge and have a battle to other leader or moderator for test that person power.

well once again dont want to be rude. because i am not talking about newcomers.

because some guy like flippy have a few week, but incredible battle ability.

i'll speak to Ceph, maybe he just forgot to approve it. i remember him saying in his thread that he denied all outstanding ones. but i suggest join group again for Boulder and write "won battle with Celph". this way, either Celph or Steve can correct it.

I hate to get off topic, but since this kinda deals with Gym Leaders that were MIA what do we do with people that schedule battles and repeatedly miss their battle? I would like to put a 15 day ban on being able to apply for a Gym. I am really getting tired of scheduling matches and when I take time from my schedule to keep the appointment and no one shows.

I still think people need to read all the rules for Gym Leaders and then decide if they still want to do it. So many questions asked in this thread are answered in the Gym Leader rules.
