Maybe Steve will consiter when your post count exceeds 2K?
Or you could alway uncheak the "Save a copy of this message in your Sent Items folder" option.

Got an idea.

When sending out the welcome message send a link to a new member gift thread.

In this thread the first post should be instructions for new members to post their friend code in order to recieve their new member gift. Let them know that they will be contacted by PM to receive their gift.

That way there is a record of the members FC.

User Cp and select Edit Options and then select Use invisible mode, but why would you want to use it?

Thats true... I thought you could sort members by join date, but I just checked it and you can't. So the only other thing I can think of is to put it as a Sticky to new members.

Serebii went for a long time without enforcing rules and the forum got out of hand and it slowed the site down. So much in fact that I have went days without being able to get into the forum and when I finally did I would write my post and when I submit it, it would stop working again. They also have it so most of their threads have to be approved by the moderators now. Something I hope never happens here. On Serebii if a mod did not like your thread it did not get posted, I really don't want to have to approve threads here, so please read all rules and post in the appropriate place.

Not a party pooper, I was thinking of the same thing. Hey we get a gift lets make another account. That is why I liked the idea of them first having to post their trainer name and friend code. If they have multiple games to give extra friend codes, then give them another gift. They did spend $34.99 for the game, so if they have extra friend codes let them get the gift he-he.

First of al for the gift thing, if u want to give newcommers gift note that yeah they will want more. but if we or i bring up like a site masscot then we could make multiples then they will know that its the same pokemon. but most likely only 3rd gen and lower cause i currently have a lot of these certained cloned pokemon for rare candies before ev training.

u could give the newcomers bred pokemon. that way it shows what pokefarm's about, you'll never run out, and it isn't so desireable that people would cheat to get more, but yet it's still desirable?

The only bad thing about having a set number of post is if someone finds out and post about anything or I have known people on here that have been here for awhile and still have a low number of post. I like the idea of giving a rare candy that could in hindsight show a symbol of grow with us, sappy I know. Pokemon wise it would have to be something from the Sinnoh Dex, just hard to think that everyone has completed the game, I know of a few who have not. So if it was a Pokemon and a Rare Candy then it would not be that bad if someone wanted to farm(so to speak he-he) it out to receive multiple gifts.

I was thinking of some type of Mascot for Pokefarm, but at the same time a nice Sinnoh Dex Pokemon could be something semi-easy to obtain like a Munchlax, Heracross, or Aipom. One of the harder Sweet Honey Tree Pokemon. We could build in a Special move-set for this gift and have an official gift giver for the site. Maybe even a special title for that person. We could have a contest for the gift giver to see who it could be. We could have a contest for the farmer that would breed the gift. It would be that farmer's job to keep one male and one female to rebreed the supply.

I like Rare Candy as a gift, any other ideas for an item?

I like one of the Sweet Honey Tree Pokemon as the Pokemon gift. Say Cherubi, Heracross, Munchlax, or Aipom. Anyone else have any Pokemon in mind?

If we can get a few ideas for items and Pokemon I will add a poll to this thread or we can make 2 seperate threads one to vote on Pokemon and one to vote on the item.

if that happened to me, and there was a ditto under my Christmas tree, i'd take the coldest shower possible, walk back to the tree, and if it was still there, i think i'd run away as quickly as possible.

But most of the time I use a mix of Photoshop + MS Paint + ImageReady + MS Word. If I was more competent with Photoshop, I could probably figure out how to do all that without having to switch between programs.

Thanks for the info. I am still finding myself staring at my new banner. Thank you it rocks and it really does look like my aunt's Black Ridge Stables Sign that hangs on her barn. The wood color, black writing, and horse images. Her sign and logo has just one horse, but same style on everything. That is kinda scary, you sure you didn't google earth on me he-he.

the pokemon mentioned took about 5 minutes to get all the moves and breed
i have my ways, though i wont reveal my secrets.

It takes a while to understand him (he is still learning english)...He is a very nice guy and very helpful.....If you want to post that you have pokemon or can breed, go to the trade forum and post plenty....:) people will come....

Sort of on-topic: Hi everyone. I've already seen very good things from PokeFarm and I keep on liking it more. I think I could become an active member, because I feel PokeFarm really stimulates people into doing that, somehow.
In any case, I hope I will enjoy myself here, and I hope others can enjoy the things I say and do around here. See you around on the boards!

I'm glad people are taking notice. I feared for a moment it would get no attention, as happened with the last of that Experiment on a different forum. It did succeed (I got a lv 40 Glameow through a lv 9 Bidoof eventually) but sadly, no one has posted a reply in there ever since. But again I remain reluctant to stay on topic :D.

So, on topic:
The forum could be enriched with something like a welcome comité to gift the new users. In that case, a forum group could be created which specialises in acquiring special items and certain Pokémon. Wouldn't it be cool if every member eventually had their own pikachu named PokeFarm or something? It would be kind of a celebrational pokémon in a way; hmm.. collectors item perhaps?
