I have been seeing large signatures again. I will be going threw every members profile tonight and checking signatures. So you have time to fix yours if needed.

What I am looking at:
No more then 3 images.
Plushies, no more then one.
490 pixels wide by 240 pixels high.
Up to three trainer cards wide is Steve's rule.
No stacked images.
Links, no links to other forum, mainly threads in other forums.I will be giving warnings if I find any violations. If the signature is not fixed within a timely manor, I will give an infraction. If it is not fixed within a timely manor after the infraction is given, your signature will be removed and your signature privileges will be removed for 15-20 days.

For clarification:
- Plushies: Is it no more then 1 of the same kind...or only 1 plushie...no more.
- Links: So you can't link to your own farms, tournaments, or your own website chalked full of IV info?

You cannot link to other FORUMS, if your farm or tournament is on this forum, then that is not another forum. You can link to your own personal website, that is also stated in the Signature Rules if people would read it.

Plushies you can have more then one if it is a different kind, but as long as it does not give you more then 3 images.

I thought that was what the rules meant, I was just looking for clarification. I asked about the links because I noticed that your banner didn't link to you webpage anymore...so I second guessed myself.

Sorry about that. When I added my new killer signature image, made by Viscosity, I forgot to link it to my website.

Just a heads up, I am in the process of asking Steve to clear up a rule. In the FAQ signature rule it does not have an image width in the rule. I thought when we were discussing the rule it was to be, 1 trainer card and 2 images, but the 3 images total could not be wider then 2 trainer cards and no higher then 2 and a half trainer cards. That would make the rule 490 x 240 pixels in size. I have seen signatures fill the entire post from left to right.

Up to three trainer cards wide is fine with me.

If this continues being a problem I can set the forums to only allow three images EVERYWHERE. That includes :151: mini Pokemon.

What is with the Secret Santa Banners? They are huge. When I told one member his signature was too big, he said he was told he had to have the banner for the event. What is up with that? They are way to big for my taste and if the white area was done in transparency then it would be fine. I am doing a forum wide search tonight on banners and any banners in violation of the signature rules in the Just a Heads Up (http://forum.pokefarm.com/showthread.php?t=2387) Thread will be receiving infractions and possible more.

I surely hope that is a bad joke. This site has rules and I am a MOD and as such I am an enforcer of the rules.

Good, good, but is it truley fair to punish someone for a query? All my sis [ruki] wanted 2 know is if you liked to follow the rules, not smear your name in the mud. Why punish her? Thats all i ask.

[p.s thanks 2 u, i got a crying sister in my arms, i hope your proud of yourself]

Enjoy your Day!

I think we need to calm down here. ^_^;; Tell your sister that Buzz is just a gruff and not to cry. Rules are important, they maintain order and keep the site running smoothly for everyone. Remember, some of us have to work off (the dreaded) dial-up modems -- so limiting the signature size is very helpful.

Tried that, other ideas?

You cannot believe the number of people today that when I gave warnings, just warnings mind you they affect nothing about forum status, they went off on me. I don't let people that work with me talk to me like these people did today. I know it may have just been poor wording, but still. Let me ask you this, if at school a teacher says I am going to check your homework to see if you did it, would you tell that teacher oh you and your homework. Now what would you expect the teacher to do, laugh? Yes I am the only person on this site that worries about things like signature size. But only because I use to use Dial Up and know its problems. Only because I have been on other forums that have put tight restrictions on signature size because it contributes to slowing the entire site down. Do you know that the 490x240 signature size I am pushing for as the permanent rule is like double the size about 95% of the other forums allow.

I may come off as being cold or uncaring, but I show no favoritism when it comes to forum rules. Nak is my greatest friend on this forum and I have given her infractions before. As a MOD I go by the rules.

Buzz is only doing his job. He doesn't take pleasure in giving out infractions. He's being fair and only doing what is asked of him. I've talked to ruki and she is nice, but she also disregards rules. And looking at her last post, it was rude. Buzz was not even referring to her this time, yet she attacks him. Yes, attack. It is what it is from an objective view. I'm sorry ruki is crying, but she shouldn't have said what she said. PM Buzz and listen to what he has to say if you're talking about being fair.

I have just finished my signature checks. Man there are alot of nice signatures out there. I did find violations, most of them minor and only given a warning.

All totaled
17 infractions - 6 Infractions given - 11 Warnings given

I have a list of all the warnings and infractions given and I will check back once a day to see if they are corrected. I know it is a Holiday week and next week is hunting season in most areas, so I will give ample time to correct the problems.

After all the big deals I make over signature rules, I was glad to see only 17 violations. The most common was stacking images and links to other forums. Some where in violation of the 3 trainer card wide rule. A full card was added to the width compared to the old rule and I still found violations

What is 3 trainer cards wide and 2 1/2 trainer cards high?
it is 684 pixels wide by 240 pixels high. That width is triple what about 95% of other forums would give.

I thank you all for following this rule.

I am off to bed now. Do you know how your eyes feel after viewing Members: 452, Active Members: 244 profiles?

Buzz is no where as bad as I am when giving out infractions. I do not give warnings and I often give out three times the amount of infraction points as buzz does. Buzz may appear gruff and mean to some of you but he is a lot nicer than the alternative... ME!

We have forum rules to keep things running smooth. Without these rules we would have anarchy.

These forums are very open and we do not do any pre-post moderation. there are some other Pokemon forums out there that moderate EVERY post before it is printed and are even worse when it comes to new threads.

We have forum rules (http://forum.pokefarm.com/faq.php), you might want to read them.

Buzz and I are both fathers, not mothers. While a mom will smile and say,"my kid would never do that," a father will say, "did that, did they? I'll make sure it does not happen again."

Well I thank you. I may not always say the right them when dealing with people, but it is not my intent to offend or bash anyone. I look at what is going on and think how does this impact PokeFarm as a community? I have given an infraction to my best friend here Nak for profanity and it was a minor word, but I feel since this site deals with a younger crowd, there are no minor profanity words. I think of it as when I was a kid and used my first curse word and my Mom asked where did you learn that, um at Jimmy's and then I was not allowed at Jimmy's anymore.

I am not saying kids should not hear those words or don't already know them, I just want them hearing them here.

Let me tell you it is hard for me to MOD myself on the profanity. My job puts me around alot of people and when we get together, OMG the sailor talk that goes on.

I promise I will try to lighten up some. I did notice after my checks of signatures last night, that very little had infractions and I would like to think that comes from constant badgering of the signature rule. Signature rules where the biggest violation for the last 2 weeks and now it is down to only 17 signatures out of the entire site.

@ Ichini: Lol, I hate periods XD And yes, you may use her DS for battling and trading. (Btw, don't forget to give me that combo for the Secret Santa event. Also, tell ruki that I am still looking forward to our Gym Battle =D) As for ruki, I don't think she is in too much trouble. She's not banned, right? But looking at her amount of infraction points, I'd say she should be a lot more careful from now on, lol. Well, I hope she cheers up soon and comes back. And thanks for listening too, Ichini. =)

@ Buzz: Great job with the siggy check! =D And it looks like you have at least 100 rep points now, congrats! I'm jealous :p

@ Steve: Hee, I've always been a daddy's girl. So it's the other way around in my case. My mom does the disciplining TT~TT

I am going to make up a new image showing the size of the new signature rule. I will post it when finished and maybe Steve can add it to the signature rule FAQ.

Signature rule
3 images not stacked
no wider then what 3 trainer cards would be, 684 pixels wide.
no higher then 2 1/2 trainer cards would be, 240 pixels high.

I still can't believe that the forum rule would give that much space for banners. Most forums give you much less. I believe Serebii's signature rule is 200 x 200.

Sorry I created the banner. I don't know how to do transparency though, and I told everybody that it is optional to display my banner and that they didn't have to.

Thanks to everyone that fixed their signatures. There are still some that have not been fixed, but this is do to the member not being online since I did the signature checks.

Thanks again everyone. I can sleep now he-he.

I have seen a rise in signature size again. I just conducted a signature cleanup a week ago. I did not plan on having one every week.

So this is your heads up.

I will be conducting another signature cleanup either Saturday Morning or Sunday Morning. You have 4 days to look at your signature and if it has any of the following violations, fix them or I will give infractions and remove them.

Signatures are limited to 1 trainer's card and 2 additional images, not exceeding the width of 3 trainer cards or 684 Pixels.
Signatures may not have images stacked on top of each other, they must be side by side.
Signatures must not exceed a height of 2.5 inches, that is 1 1/2 trainer cards in height or 240 Pixels. This counts texts and images.

Signatures cannot contain links to other forums, your own personal website is fine.
Signatures containing PokePlushies are limited to 1 per type and counts towards your 3 images.
Signatures containing the Smiley Pokemon images don't count against the image count, but if you abuse this rule they will be added to the image count.
This is a your warning. I will remove your signatures and when you add another one, if it violates any signature rule, I will see to it that your ability to use a signature will be removed.
