male and female

I just breed a female spiritomb :442: with ditto with every move in the right place it should be, then when it hatched, nothing. no dark pulse, no nothing. the only moves that i had was the egg moves. what happened? do i need a male?:confused:

Only males pass on moves, but if the Pokemon learns the move by leveling up then both the male and female need to have the move. There are in some cases where a POkemon can level up a move and also learn it threw an egg move.

yes you would need a male to breed moves on to other pokemon
