Should PokeFarm acquire IRC?

IRC, for the ones among you who don't know, is a Java-powered chatbox function.
I think it will suit PokeFarm very well, because of the following reason:
2 days ago, I had a battle with someone on this forum. We chatted about the battle in Private Messages, which isn't exactly ideal. I came to believe that an IRC would be ideal for private conversations on trades and stuff. Also, arranging these wifi features isn't proceeding very smooth through PM's.. It feels a bit slow. So my suggestion: IRC on PokeFarm?

IRC is a good idea, but I don't know how functional it would be for most users. Then you have to figure the sites Moderators will have to know the ins and outs of it to problem solve, and I know basically how to log into it when the guild I was in for Ultima Online used it.

Also could have a member setup an IRC room for the site and then everyone could just download it and use it.

I like the idea of the general chatroom. It could help alleviate having to create a thread about simple questions or problems.

You could move or copy that chatbox to PokeFarm directly. It's easy enough to use and has all the necessary features such as private chat and ignore. I think that is probably all we need!
