Can you EV train using EXP share?

To put a finer point on it, the pokemon holding ExpShare will recieve EV points and XP for the pokemon the lead Pokemon in your team is battling. It does not enjoy any bonus EVs the lead Pokemon may be getting.

Where this is important is when you are using things like MachoBrace, The Power Items, or Pokerus. Only the Lead pokemon gets the item boost. The Expshare Pokemon only gets the base value.

For example:

An Absol with Pokerus holding the Power Anklet is fighting a Magicarp. In the Absol's party is a Bibarel holding Exp Share.

The Absol defeats the Magicarp. Magicarp is worth 1 speed EV. The Power Anklet adds 4 EV to whatever award Absol Earns, and the Pokerus doubles all of Absol's awards.
So in our example, Absol earns 10 Speed EV points ((1+4)*2=10), along with half the XP.

The Bibarel gets 1 Speed EV, and half the XP.

All the bonuses from the Power Anklet and Pokerus do not apply through the Exp Share.
If the Bibarel also had Pokerus, It would double the EVs gained through the ExpShare, giving 2 Speed Evs.

No. Macho Brace (and the Power Items) only affect EVs gained through battling.
