Fire Red or Leaf Green Pokemon

I was thinking of playing Pokemon Fire Red and passing the game so i can get pokemon like Ditto will the nature i was looking for and also pokemon for other with the nature that they are looking for. Does anyone think this is a good idea...

Yeah so i guess i'll keep everyone up to date with where i am in the video game so they could ask for a pokemon in the area i am..

I have all the older games. FireRed/LeafGreen/Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald and Colosseum. I need to sit down sometime and restart my LeafGreen/Sapphire/Emerald to get all the Pokemon I can't get in Ruby/FireRed. Also I need to finish Colosseum to get all the Pokemon there and get Ho-oh.

Yeah...i totally understand... right now i bet the first gym and working through the cave right now...

I did that, I got a whole binch of dittos with adamant nature, timid nature, etc... It is so helpful, that I cannot believe I didn't think of it before! Also, you should beat the game in enerald and go to the ruin maniac cave, you can find a ton of ditto there. So I Think it's a good idea, unless you want to IV breed.:-D

Actually, the right Ditto are tremendous for IV breeding. It takes a bit longer, but if you can find Ditto with high IVs, they can then be bred to anything breedable to add those high IVs to the bloodline.

I recently did this when my only cyndaquil had no IVs over 15. Rather than just breeding and hoping for luck, I breed him with a Ditto I caught with a 31 Speed IV, then took the baby cyndaquil child that inherited that speed from the ditto (out of a bunch that didn't) and bred him to another ditto that had a 29 Spec Attack. One of those children (out of about 8 ) had both a 31 speed and a 29 Spec Attack.

If I could ever catch a Ditto with several stats in the 28-31 range I could speed this up immensely......

So the real key is not only getting Ditto with the right natures, but to also get ones with high IVs. It is pretty much just luck, so catch a bunch and keep the good ones.....

Owooh! That's what I've been doing. I've been chaining Ditto in Diamond, maybe I'll be lucky and run into a shiny Ditto or 2 while I'm at it :D
