So i started this thread to trade stories about members and them going out of their way to help others.

I just received the best help ever. I posted a question about power items and i thought i would get one from a different person... well Taterbud told me that he would give me all of the items.

So please post a story of a member helping you and don't forget to spread the rep points. :):):D:D:lol::lol::lol:

I made ONE post on this forum, and immediately I had two PMs! One welcoming me to the forums, and both offering me the pokemon I was looking for ^.^

I have been looking at this thread since yesterday trying my hardest to post, but kept coming back to the same conclusion :-D
Since day one that I popped in as a guest I knew that there was something special here. I've never been a part of any type of forum (except yahoo answers), so I didn't know what to expect. To be honest, I was so afraid that someone would say something hurtful towards me (because of my age), that I hesitated. Then I took the plunge and made my first of many friends. I feel that I have made lifelong friends, but they feel more like family.
To mention someone that helped, I couldn't. Why, you ask? Because there are too many. For the first person who greeted me, the person who said that I was too cool to be a grandmother, the person that thought my first breed was awesome, the person who hears my complaints (over pm), the one who helps me with all my breeding questions, battle team help, late night chats, iv battles, just plain old age forgetfulness and playful rivalry. To everyone that has touched my heart and game experience "Thank you"

P.S.
I will be preparing brownies for Christmas :-D

It means he was so impressed with her skills that it did not even occur to him that she might not be a guy (like him). Most people assume that if others share their feelings and ideas they are also likely to share their physical appearance.

Taterbud, is officially the most generous person at Pokefarm! Well, one of the most generous! She helped me out SO much just now, not wanting ANYTHING in return! That kind of generosity is rarer these days than a legit shiny modest Darkrai with awewsome IVs.

I'm more or less the mooching uncle who does nothing but sit around and crack jokes about other members in the family, but more or less stands around and does nothing and only takes up space, eats the food, and runs away. :)

*hugs nana* Oh yes, and i like brownies. :-D

I didn't start it to give him a run for his money,:( he's not upset is he? I hope not, I was just trying to help out others who were having trouble finding shinies, I wouldn't want him to be upset because he gave me a shiny absol which I absolutely love and thank him for.:)

Oh no I already stickied Taterbud's shiny thread. Why do I feel like I came in during the middle. Kate PM'd me about the idea she had for the thread and I said it sounded awesome. I told her to go ahead and make the thread and I would sticky it as soon as she had it posted.

I never partook in Shiny Lucario's event so I did not know to sticky it. I see how it is though. Nak does all the generous stickying of threads and the BugCatcher gives the infractions. Good Cop Bad Cop again, but how the reputation points going for the good cop?

Oh yeah I went there. Trying to think of another geezer comment, er um Rawr.

Lol, all sillyness from above aside for just a second,

I also found it to be great here. The special atmosphere in comparison to something like a hardcore Pokémon (serebii/smogon) forum... It's just so unique. The people here are educated and still so very nice! It's a shame that I didn't encounter this website and it's forum earlier.
When I first logged in, I directly got a personal message with someone welcoming me and showing me around a little. Also, there is so little pressure on trades and battles, that a mistake is easily forgiven and forgotten. And I do know online communities where that is certainly not the case.
Everything is relaxed, everyone is generous and greatly educated and ready for good, friendly discussions, as recently seen in the New Team Help ;). I loved the discussion on Lanturn vs. Drifblim vs. Other.

Okay, continue the sillyness, now.

That is because none of those other forums have a BugCatcher patrolling the site. I am a member at Smogon and Serebii. I don't see where profanity has anything to do when talking about Pokemon. I don't see where degrading someone over losing a battle is acceptable in any form of competition. I don't see where competing traders need to degrade their competition. I see other farms and think awesome. It lets people farm and receive Pokemon without overworking yourself.

I thank Steve for taking a chance on me as a Moderator. I thank the members for tolerating me and actually starting to listen to my way of running things. Yes I am picky about the rules, but I think Steves rules are what keep this site from being a Smogon or Serebii and I will keep enforcing then to keep this site from going the ways of other forums.

Hear, hear!
Let us never be serebiinated. I have to admit that you do a great job at moderating and keeping things nice and smooth. Never let a profanity untouched (Because I still have a lot to learn on that, appearently =P). If you are one of (presumably many, I can put down some names, but that's off the point) the driving force behind all this, then it is a great thing you are here.
