The 2nd Gen Starters

Yeah, I have my ruby version and I see that in the gam some people have the starter pkmn from the 2nd gen, how do I get them?

you have to complete the national dex from hoenn

only see the entire pokedex you talk to the profesor and he will let you have one...only one

i believe this is only in EMERALD

I think it only works on emerald.

Oh...., I should of gotten Emarald when I had to choose between Rugy, Saphire, and Emarald.

You could get them as a reward in Emerald, as others have said.

The 2nd Gen Starters could also be snagged in Pokemon XD for Gamecube. You could then transfer them back to your normal Pokemon game.

The problem with both of these methods is that you have to go a long way into the game to get the chance to catch the 2nd gen starter, and you only get one of them. So getting all three this way involved putting a *lot* of time in.

Which is why we should all feel so grateful that lots of nice folks are willing to breed the 2nd gen starters they got here at Pokefarm!

Yes, both Game Cube Pokemon games included a way to get the 2nd gen starters. Colloseum was much easier as you could catch the evolved forms in game.
