A technician with Quick Attack (like Ambipom) can do more damage than you think. It would be like this:

40 (Base Power) x 1.5 (Technician) x 1.5 (STAB) = 90 [x 1.5 (Choice Band) = 135 power]. Not bad for a priority move eh? Not saying thats what you were using, but Quick Attack can be powerful in the right hands.

I'm pretty sure Scyther and Scizor are only technicians that can learn Quick Attack.
And they don't get STAB multiplier.
