Hacked pokemon

I had my thread closed for trading cloned pokemon, and I've seen a number of other people have their posts edited or threads closed for trading clones and hacks. I'm not saying that there's anything wrong with that; if they're the rules then it's my own fault for not knowing. My issue is that I looked in the FAQ and I've looked at the rules on the separate boards, and I can't see anywhere where it actually states that clones and hacks aren't allowed. I think if people are going to get their threads closed for it or whatever, it should be more obvious that it isn't allowed.

If someone can point out to me where it says that it's against the rules then I'll gladly apologise, but I still think it should be made a bit more noticeable since I've actually looked for it and haven't found it. Maybe it should be put in the FAQ or at least in a notice somewhere on the forum where the rule is most likely to be broken, like the shinies and events board.

It still doesn't actually say "you are not allowed to trade hacked or cloned pokemon here."
Like I said, I have absolutely no issue with the rule, and I have no issue with getting my thread closed for breaking it. I just think it should be a bit more obvious that it isn't allowed because on most forums it is, even if it's only allowed in certain areas.

Personally, I believe if you hung around these forums just a little bit before getting your account activated you would've noticed that there's a really big anti-hack & anti-clone attitude around here.

I really don't think there's any need to have a go at me, when all I was doing was making a suggestion. It actually says in the FAQ that constructive criticism is welcomed, and that's what I was trying to do.
I'm not getting at anyone, I'm not saying the rules are wrong, and I'm not saying that anything should be changed. I was just making a suggestion that might mean that fewer people will break the rules.

If you wanted to make a suggestion without having other members of the forum argue or discuss about it, you shouldn't have made a public thread. You could have easily PM'd a MOD or PM'd Steve with your suggestion.

No one is targetting you as an Enemy of the Board, and anyone who does is being silly. Pokemon is a game for people to meet and have fun.

Viscosity, fair enough if you weren't, but to me your last post sounded like you were trying to make out that I was some kind of idiot. If that wasn't your intention then I apologise for taking it that way.

I'm happy for everyone to discuss it, that's why I made the board, to see what everyone else thought about it. It just seems to me like people are getting at me for making the suggestion in the first place, which I don't think is right, and for thinking that cloning isn't a bad thing which is an opinion I'm entitled to and isn't even part of the reason I made this thread in the first place.

If I'm honest, I don't really want to PM the mods or admin with suggestions, because it says in a lot of places not to PM them about unecessary things. So I thought it best to make a thread where they could see it if they wanted to, rather than disturb them with a PM when it says don't PM them unless it's necessary.

Firstly, I personally think it's just common sense to not trade any hacks or clones, and this community perfectly joins me on that for the most part. But it was a moderating mistake to not add that to the rules, even though the complete community had a certain aire of legit trading.

Slightly off topic: So, why doesn't it show that in the 'member information' bar that you're a mod, by the way? It could show so next to your member name or below the Gym Badges. I know it's shown elsewhere, but it actually should be common sense to be able to have a quick view at that! I think that's something that should really be added.

Edit: Well, this certainly is a surprise. You can't even see if someone is a Moderator in their profiles. Or am I just looking past that? This should really be taken care of!

I had a huge thread with a poll about cloning and it was pretty much I decided that clones and hacks don't need to be traded here. I don't like either. I am not saying cloning is wrong, as long as it is done with the GTS trick and not AR. I would just not mention anything on clones. Also it is easy to tell if you post a thread saying I am farming this Pokemon with this move-set and the IVs will be 31 / 20 / 20 / 31 / 31 / 31. That is a clone farm, how can I tell, giving the IVs for every Pokemon as the same IV. I always list the parent Pokemons IV and the offspring will have some of them.

The H does mean that you have been found trading a hacked Pokemon. Trust me though, there are multiple checks to see if the Pokemon is hacked and regardless if you knew or not, you will get an H, you should be 100% sure of the Pokemon before trading it away to a member here.

Well if they report you as trading a hack, then yes you would get one. It has to be reported to be looked into. The only reason there are currently 3 members with a H is because 1 traded it to a moderator, 1 traded it to a Gym Leader, and the 3rd posted it.

I'm sorry electra for straying away from your original post, but this really bothers me...I got something from a trade away from this site (before becoming a member), I didn't know if it was legit, so I left it in my box. I was asked by another member if I had one, and they made it very clear that they didn't care if it was a hack or not, so I traded it to them. Why you ask? Because legends only take up box space....I realized that after coming to this site, they are only for name and looks. I need the box space for other things that matter to me, not pokemon that cannot be of any use...

You know, it's gotten to a point where Legendaries and Event pokemon are owned to be looked at and never used. Kind of like Gym Badges, they say "Hey, I caught this!" or "Hey, I went to this event!"
