GTS is a cruel mistress

So I have been spending the past few days on the GTS trying to get a psyduck, well I got quite a few with really inappropriate names. However I also spent a good deal of time trying to find any pokemon i could trade for.

I got lucky one day and got a level 4 Bibarel with pokerus and a pomeg berry. :) However my luck changed when I traded my hard earned untouched Palkia for a level 79 Rayquaza. When I got the Rayquza it only knew iron tail. So I lost my Palkia for a fake Rayquaza. C'est la vie.

What exciting and interesting trades have you had in the GTS?

well one time i put up my drifblim.i asked for a palkia because people kept askin for ones with really bad offers so i thought i might as well try i mean it was one of my first times on gts!anyhoo i switched off and 2 hours later i have a palkia!!!yay :)

Wow that is some fantastic luck, but you just reminded me. If you can do that with a drifblim I can probably do that with a spiritomb.

i offered a mew for a mewtwo. i got a level 1 mewtwo. fun 2 train. not fun to be cheated. i still dont know how they did it.

Actually i have a program that lets you create any pokemon you want. I once made a Spiritomb with wonder guard. Hence he'd be invincible.

The program allows you to create any pokemon, and i mean any. If I really wanted, I could make the special psyducks from Japan. The challenge is importing them into the game. This can only be done when you have a card designed for playing Roms. They cost about $100 or more. Once you do that you import the .sav file into your hack game, which Nintendo has no way of deciphering its fake and you upload your level one mewtwo.

Despite the fact I made the Spiritomb I have no way of actually getting it into a game. I just play with it on an emulator.

you get spiritomb by meeting 32 people int eh underground. Then you need to go to place the duskstone? Into the mound by the pokememorial and he will appear. He is level 25 and appears once in the game. Since he is not a legendary I just bred him with a ditto. The ones I bred have High IVs, and make good trades. It is the spiritombs I used to get a new Giratina and a legit event mew.

I put a bulbasaur up and requested a Palkia. I didn't think I'd get one but I thought I'd try it cuz I had a lot of bulbasaurs and I wanted another Palkia.
Anyway.
I got one!
Then I put another one up for a Dialga, and got that too! haha.
I got a Zapdos for something stupid too but I can't remember what.
I quite like the GTS (:
I wouldnt put anything really valuable on there though like a Mew or anything, cuz you'd just end up getting ripped off.

I use PokeSav sometimes too and you can transer the pokemon directly into the game by having an Action Replay and clicking the generate code button. The code is for the Japanese version though, but all you have to do is change the second line to work with American versions, I don't know what the replacement line is but look up Action replay codes on any website so I'm sure you'll find it so you can use the pokemon regularly Nikola.

I traded a Chikorita for a level 86 Celebi

and looks like he had 3 TM moves on him also..

some ppl are offering level 10 wurmple and lookin for lv 100 diaglia/palkia/celebi/darkrai etc... why make our lives so hard??? are they specificlaly lookin for hacked pkmn? i doubt anyone in their right mind woudl trade a legit diaglia for a wurmple o_O

Lot of the pokemon you get are either hacked or cloned. No one would offer their legendaries up unless they clone them already. That is why your able to get them so easy. The best way to make sure your getting a clone and not a hacked one (like action reply) is to make sure you ask for the level for example if you want MewTwo, don't ask any less then level 70+ because as far as I know there is no way to get a Mewtwo under level 70. If it is, its hacked from action reply or import into the game from a rom.

I haven't really traded anything big on GTS, I kind of hate the fact you can't search for what other are offering and you can't ask for anything you haven't seen. I couldn't even ask for a mew if I wanted too unless I had something that someone wanted for a mew.

I've been trading Mime Jrs for staters, I may start asking for bigger stuff to see what I can get.

i had to get a hold of a hacked mew from a friend first so i could get it on my pokedex... after that, i looked for mews on GTS, and i found a lvl 100 one available, and the dude was only looking for a seadra... and i was freaking out because it was such an easy trade! and i got it and it turned out legit or cloned =3 i saw a mew one time that wanted a smoochum for trade, i wanted to get that too, but someone had beaten me to it... =/ oh well, you cant win em all, i say =)

Very true, I generally like to have one of every pokemon, but some times you can't have them all. The ones I know I'm going to have a big issue getting are the legends from 2nd gen. Other then events I don't know any other way of getting them.

Yeah she is nice, I'm one step closer myself. I wish you could ask for pokemon even if you haven't seen it. Another part of the game that is annoying is the battle tower. I played it and I saw pokemon that I haven't seen yet, yet it wasn't added to my dex as seen.

I hope if and when they made the 3rd game for 4th gen that they update the GTS with a better search feature.

It might be nice when you offer pokemon, but when you search for pokemon, it's a whole different matter. nowdays, people are putting up rip-off offers, and it screws the whole system of the GTS up. It's pretty hard to get what you want through searching. Luckliy, I found ramblings from the marginalized and then pokefarm.com, and i got what i needed through nicer people. :D

I mainly use the GTS now to get lot of different ID's for the lotto, other then that I use this place and my own site to gather items and pokemon I want. Maybe the GTS would become more useful, at least for me in the next game. That is if they even know that players dislike the current system and they are going to fix those issues in the next Pokemon Game.

Same here. It's really cool I discovered this place, since the people are very helpful here. It even makes me helpful towards them too (Oh what a warm, fuzzy feeling XD. But the reason some people put up rip-off offers is to do the GTS clone glitch, I think... But yeah, some of them are just plain unfair. Like this trade i found once --- a level 4 Bidoof for a level 100 Rayquaza. It makes you ask... ARE THEY FREAKING NUTS? XD

At first use I thought the GTS was a waste of time, ridiculous offers, as everyone knows. I would say within 2-3 days, I have gotten Mew, Latias, Mesprit, Uxie, Ho-oh, all for next to nothing trades. I just kept going back and forth, and what it probably is mostly, is the ones not being careful about what they chose for a trade offer in a clone attempt. Come on, Ho-oh for any Carnivine. Or, I think another was Mesprit for any Eevee. Too easy.

My one wish for the GTS would be that you could do a reverse search when you put up an offer. I want to put up a Bulbasaur, so I should be able to search through all the posted Pokemons for people who are looking for Bulbasaur. That way you may not have to sit and wait for someone to take your offer. You may find your trade or something better.

Lol, same here! I put up a lvl 1 squirtle and some other lvl 1 starter, and I actually got a Palkia and Dialga in return. I was like, ":(:(:(:(!" XD
