Sure you provide the $250,000 that it cost to run a basic 30 second commercial. This site has the advertisements at the top to pay for the site.

Oh I so don't want some of the members from Smogon or Serebii here he-he. I have a feeling we would end up with the outcast of those sites. Also Smogon has alot of cloners there. I think the way things are now, keeps us safe from those types of members.

Yeah, and we're not just some member, either. We all aren't treated indifferently and thought of as just another member. Kinda nice to be appreciated. That and the amount of respect people have for the 'senior' members here is pretty sweet. I'm hoping to join those ranks one day. :cry:

Smogon is the hardcore battle jerks that clone great Pokemon to stay the best at battling and they treat anyone with less knowledge them themself rudely.

Serebii is basically the same with more rules, but the members there are mainly leeches who ride the coattails of the members that work hard to find out information. Alot of the members there want alot, but don't want to work for it.

With here we have awesome senior members who are not to high and mighty to work with new members. Our new members are willing to work hard to succeed and the ones that come here looking for freebies, well they don't last long. We have members here that don't farm or battle, but they contribute with their kindness and that is what a site needs to grow.

Hey it is true. I am not boasting, but I have heard from members that say on other sites Moderators don't reply back to PMs. This site has the most active Moderators of any forum I know of. Even the Administrators are active. All our members provide great information. Even those that have more questions then answers, help others learn as well.

I have 2 small goals for this site. 1 day where I receive 0 PMs and 1 day where there is 0 infractions given. Everything else, I feel this site has meet the goal of being the best ever.

So asking the question in the forum will let all 200 members see the answer and it will only need to be asked and answer once.

You can only send to 5 people at one time. Sending to 250 would still take forever or longer after I would have to group them together to give the right answers.

I agree with this completely, it's hard to come by a forum that's actually well Moderated and people have to at least put some thought into posting, but without the fear of instant death, there's a nice balance I feel. Also the closeness of the forum makes it feel more like a close-knit community rather than just a giant group of people all looking to get what they want...it's more like a friendly learning environment of sorts =)

I'm sure you were just joking here Slizer, but it's a good time to be serious and think about what's been said here. You and I both joined this site at pretty much the same time, and as members who aren't really new anymore, but at the same time, who are also not really senior members either, it's up to us to help out both the senior members and the junior ones.

We can help out new members by being active in the forums and helping answer their questions, and this in turn, means we can also help out the senior members by not bombarding them with PM after PM. That way, we'll have time to learn more about pokemon by asking, answering, and discussing - and the senior members/moderators will have more time to help us out with the more advanced concepts of the game. They'll also then have more time to focus on maintaining this forum in such a way that the people who want to ruin the game for others, don't get a chance to do it here on Pokefarm.

It'll make your gaming experience all that more enjoyable! And after all, that's what this site is really all about!

The thing with Serebii is, at one time the rules were loose and it got bad. Now they are trying to get people to follow rules and it is working. They figured once they got popular that it was time to stop the hacks and clones and be a legit site.

The problem with Smogon is, anyone new joining is an outcast and looked down upon. Yes people curse and talk ill of each other, but that is just the gaming era that they grew up in. Cloning is fine there and actually their farmers work closely with cloners to produce the best Pokemon and trade them for items or other IV beast and at some point, when will anyone's teams be different if they are all copies.

PokeFarm, hacks are few and for the most part spotted right away. Clones happen, but it is not talked about because it is not liked here. I can't say cloning is wrong, because it is game mechanics that the cloning happens. I just don't believe you take a cloned Pokemon and call it your hard farmed Pokemon. You worked hard to get the original, but the 30 copies anyone can do.

PokeFarm also has the member base that new members are welcomed and are as valued as the senior members. Look how many just joined the site within the last

As you can see each month brings in new great members. I see on a daily basis new members becoming senior members. Being new does not me you have no voice here. Asking questions does not mean you are not intelligent. If for some reason a member is rude, they will still be treated with kindness and sooner or later the rudeness leaves or the member leaves once they realize their rudeness has no effect on our members.

True, but I would not just use a signature just made by anybody. You remember my banner before yours? That is the type of person I am, plain jane sig and I am fine. The reason I used yours is, it was awesome and you gave it to me as a gift and I told you the resemblance to my Aunt's farm logo is unreal. When you sent it to me my mouth hit the floor.

You are great at what you do.

Also if you are not on the list, don't worry I just did not have enough time or space to type everyone's name there. Seriously this is the best forum I have ever been on and it is the only forum I use for Pokemon now.

Now you know I hate having my name in the spotlight. I am not the most knowledgeable. Everyone on this site has a wide range of knowledge. Just some excel in different areas.


I know this is off topic kinda and is in no way trying to get me some oh Buzz you are great, but I truly don't understand how I am so popular on this site.

I don't like alot of attention. I never received alot of attention and somehow I got it here. Not saying I don't appreciate all the kindness members show me here, but I just don't know how to show my thanks because I am not use to the attention he-he.

Cherise sends me a beautiful PM in a style that is all Cherise. An apology first, which Cherise never needs to apologize for anything. But the singing was beautiful, it really was awesome.

I know for the most part I only use the forum names for people, but I do know most of your real names.

Thank you guys, not just the ones mentioned in this post, but to all the forum members for making the months after my accident a little more enjoyable then just sitting around watching The Price Is Right.

Like I told you guys before, PokeFarm is not great because of Buzz, but Buzz is great because of PokeFarm.

It is the forum members that I have became friends with that have pushed me to get better. If I see someone with a question, I want to find the answer. In that pursuit of having no question unanswered, I have learned more then a 29 year old Dad/Husband should know about a video game.
