It happens. Statistics says it's 50-50. If at first you flip a coin, and it's 20 heads in a row, eventually you'll flip 20 tails as well. Like I've said a bazillion times, be patient. :p

I just did Marill which are also 50/50 and out of 30 Pokemon, 18 were Male and 12 were Female.

I think everyone is overlooking one thing, When the egg hatches it has a 50/50 chance and each egg will. If you have 30 eggs, that is not saying you will have 15 male and 15 female, because each egg has a 50/50 chance of being either. The odds of having 30 eggs hatch as 15 male and 15 female is much lower then 50/50.

Back to the coin example, you have a 50/50 chance of heads or tails only because that is the only 2 options, but if you flip a coin 10 times and keep track of each flip. Flip it another 10 times and keep track. Flip it another 10 times and keep track. I can guarantee you that each group of 10 will have a different outcome. It seems everyone is looking at it as if you will always hatch the same number of males as females. What happens if you only hatch 13 eggs? You have to have 7 of one gender and 6 of another, there goes the 50/50 theory as you guys have stated it.

yes the individual odds are 50/50
that doesnt exactly mean if you breed 100 then 50 will be boy and 50 will be girl
its an entirely different concept

I don't see it as confusing or condescending. I give examples and match them to numbers. No confusion.

Also posting that the original poster close this now, it is up to them if they want it closed and not to you feeling it needs to be closed. This being left open can be reused for people with more questions about the breeding chances.
