Emerald cloning glitch

yes because my friends friend glitched his emerald by cloning so much it took him 1 hour just to save so i reccomend no dont do it

i used to when i played emerald etc, because i had noone to trade with etc.. but ive stopped now (wifi ftw)

I have never cloned or hacked any Pokemon game I owned. Would feel to much like a cheater. I am not talking ill of anyone that has cloned or hacked. If you do that is your right as the one that bought the game and plays the game.

i hear you... i don't really use rare candies on my team, because i want to win through hard work.. the reason i clone is mainly to get more hold items or berries faster, that and i clone legendaries, that way i have a higher chance of getting what i want in GTS, since a lot of people ask for legendary pokemon for other legendaries... but no, i don't cheat all the way... just a smidge XD

I don't actually clone myself though, I find someone else who knows how and can do it for me.
And if I'm trading someone a cloned pokemon, I always tell them beforehand that it's cloned. I know some people don't like it.
I don't hack pokemon though, and I don't accept hacks in trades unless I'm only interested in the dex info.

I want to use the cloning glitch in Emerald to clone my Aura Mew, but I still haven't beaten the Elite Four haha. xD

I don't mind cloned pokemon, but hacking the game as a whole, thats a big no-no.

Personally I don't really see cloning as "hacking" and a clone pokemon, isn't anymore or less then the one it was cloned from. The reason I believe that is because such a glitch is that of the game, and there for is not really hacking. Such as back in the day with Red, all those glitches that let you get unlimited of whatever, mew and cloning was part of the game. Either by design or just a limit of the game. I personal think the GameFreak put the cloning glitch into emerald knowing full well people would use it. After all they took every chance they could to prevent you from doing any of the old glitches in FireRed/LeafGreen and there isn't a cloning glitch in R/S that I know of.

If anyone trades a pokemon that is a one time shot deal, such as legendary dogs, birds, MewTwo, the R/S/E ones as well as the new ones, they are 9 out of 10 times a clone. When it comes to Event Pokemon, they are always 100% clones. After all most legends require that you beat the game, which is generally 10+ hours of game play.

The one thing I dislike are hacking, which in terms require some sort of extra hardware or software to let you change the game code but importing custom Pokemon into the game from a Rom or by using a GameShark/Action Reply. Those I generally don't like. But at the end of the day, if I had all of but a few events like the Ho-Ho, Mew, and no one would trade them to me I would go to Action Reply to get them. But that's just me. I personally feel its unfair that Nintendo has these events in limited fashion making it hard for lot of fans to get them. Hopefully with D/P that wont be the case with the new Wifi.

I've never used the cloning glitch for emerald personally, once I play the game once, I can generally rush through it in a short time. For example right now I'm rushing LeafGreen and FireRed to get all the legends and key items. I beat FireRed in 12 hours (not counting Elite Four). I'm debating on going down victory road to get MewTwo, being that I've already gone one form the first time I played. I may do the cloning glitch on emerald once I get the 3 legends, so that I may trade those off for legends I need, but I'm debating it. I can tell yeah one thing. No way you'll get me to do the clone glitch for D/P with the GTS, way to risking if you ask me.
