Which do you think was the hardest to catch?
I just caught Palkia with my first quick ball xD
Haven't got to the others yet, but I'm guessing Mesprit will be the hardest.

But doesn't Mesprit run away from every battle?
I think it'll be really frustrating chasing after it, battling it, it running away and having to chase after it again, battle it again only to have it run away again.

Electra, I have to agree with you - i found Mesprit and Cresselia to be incredibly difficult to catch! Dialga and Giratina were both rather difficult and took a LOT of time, but with both of them, as long as you have a high-enough level Pokemon and plenty of potions, it's not too bad, you just stand thereand chuck ball after ball until you finally catch them. Mesprit and Cresselia, on the other hand - both of them, once you run into them in the wild, you get ONE SHOT with a Pokeball before they run. If your ball fails, you hvae to hunt them down again, and again youget one shot to catch them. Also, running into them in the wild is rather difficult because you can't just Fly to where they are - every time you use Fly, they immediately change locations! I do agree that the others are pretty :(:(:(:( hard (though I did cheat with Regigigas, I just used a Masterball on him), I do think the two Runners are the hardest. Took me weeks to get them!!

I can imagine
I'm not looking forward to having to catch them xD
A lot of people say that you should use mean look or something similar on them to stop them from running, and I don't know about anyone else but those moves are always some of the first that I have my pokemon forget when better moves come up.

Yeah, but you might be able to catch a Golbat that already knows it. Problem is, the two runners are really quick, and often run before you can even use mean look! I say a pokemon with Arena Trap is the way to go.

my strategy was to fill a fresh golbat with lots of carbos and level it up to lvl 55 to up the speed on it. and use meanlook with some low powered attack.
If you keep lots of potions on hand, it can stay alive pretty darn well. I think i even evolved it into a crobat before i started catching them.

hmm... i thought Giratina Heatran and Regigigas were the easiest... Now Uxie was hard, and i hate to recall how many times i restarted the game to catch it... guess what's easy and what's hard is different for every game. :?

I did the same thing for Regigigas, just used a Master ball. In regards to catching Mesprit and Cresselia, the two runners, Arena Trap does not work. i tried it and they still fled. I found out it's because their ability is Levitate, and Arena Trap does not work on those Pokemon with the Levitate ability. That really frustrated me!! I have heard that using a high level Gengar with Mean Look and a sleep move is fairly effective - Gengar has a pretty high Speed stat, so you can usually use Mean Look before they get the chance to run, and then you put them to sleep or whatever you choose to do at that point. Never got the chance to try it myself, didn't have any Gengar at that point.

Azelf took me about an hour and a half "/
Uxie and Palkia were dead easy.
I really can't be bothered with Mesprit. And I don't want any of the others like Heatran and Giratina. They're really creepy "/
I want Cresselia though. But I wanna catch Mesprit first so I'm not looking for two at the same time.

I used a team made up of level 25 wobbufets from emerald version to catch the runners cressalia and mesprit, shadow tag is their ability and it does stop them from running instantly, of course then u hav to deal with their relentless attacks :D .

I used a goldbat caught on victory road (already has mean look) and leveled him up a little as well as equipped with a quick claw. Worked very well.. he ended up evolving into a crobat even
and Arena trap wont work cause they levitate.. and fly/levitate are immune to it.

I did exactly as Nilty - a Victory Road Golbat is pretty much set to fight against Mesprit, although you might need to level it up a few since once Golbat faints Mean Look is deactivated.
Also a tip - set your Pokétch to Marking Map, and go to Eterna City. The left pathway towards Route 205 is perfect to cut down time on finding Mesprit, as you only have to walk between the border of Route 205/Eterna City and the location of it will change everytime you step over these marks. Once it's marker shows up in Route 205, just check the two patches of grass to the left/upper corner and you should run into it no problem. I also used this method with Cresselia and I got it fairly easily.
Hope that helps!
