I dunno, I just got done leveling both parents up to level 50 and 57. That took so long, though I guess I have time to semi-IV breed so most(if not all) of my Cyndaquil will have one maxed IV stat.

Leveling up parents to the point where they can not learn any new moves while in the day care is very important. I screwed up once and did not do this but instead dropped two level one "parents" into the day care... umm... Yeah, it did not turn out so well.

Yeah, Eruption is the last move Cyndaquil and family learns so I'm in the clear.

You guys are actually wrong about this. I always put lvl 1s in the daycare unless I need a level up move. Even if the move gets deleted it still passes to the babys as long as I dont take out one of the parents.

Actually I've also done it too, especially when passing egg moves. I can replace the female as many times as I want, as long as I don't touch the male their off spring will still have the egg moves.

I switch out both. I always replace the parents if I hatch better iv's. The moves still pass on even if I put them in at lvl 1.

True, I do the same since it speeds up IV breeding. Well another farm event has come, and it's starting to wrap up. I'm thinking of doing a set of pokemon that would benefit from the trick room support because of their low speed. Snorlax, a re-breed of Ursaring, Rhyhorn, and Slowpoke (Slowbro or Slowking are prime Trick Room canidates.

I read that you were taking suggestions for Dratini, so I thought I would post a couple here. Keep in mind I haven't ever really done a breeding event, just Shroomish for myself and Beldum for another on this forum (which I may re-breed for better IVs).

For the nature, I think that you have 2 good options. You can either improve Dragonite's great attack with Adamant, or you can improve his (slightly) lacking speed with Jolly. I would probably do Adamant, to give Dragonite some extra power after it's finished dragon dancing.

EDITED Moveset:

Water Pulse
Dragon Dance
Outrage or Dragon Rush (If it can learn either one)
Thunder Wave

I'm sure someone else can come up with something better than me, but hopefully it will give you some ideas.

The bad thing is dratini has a rather limited moveset of physical attacks. It can't be bred to have dragon claw, roost, stone edge or thunderpunch. (no arms, I guess). It can learn ice beam, flamethrower, dragon pulse and thunderbolt but those play to its weaker sp. attack stat.

Oops... I thought I was looking at a move list for Dratini... I was looking at Dragonites. One sec and I'll edit my first post.

Ok, I edited it and that should all work, but I'm going to check with more websites just to make sure.

Yeah, I was thinking of going with either a Jolly or Naughty nature. Jolly will give it the extra speed it needs, and Naughty allows it to utilize it's special attack, while still being able to physically attack. As for move set, I was thinking Outrage, Dragon Dance, Fire Blast(allows it to not be walled by Skarmory/Forretress), and Light Screen. Although Dratini's move set is rather limited, I think a supporting move like light screen can really help it and the rest of it's team mates survivability. I think I might just do both natures, seeing as I can choose. Though I'll be doing the Jolly nature for my up coming event for the main site, I'll probably do Naughty as a sub forum-only event. Or a koffing event. Because weezing is amazing.
