Main site breeding

I was just wondering,(also wandering lol) what it takes to breed on the main site.

To my knowledge you have to be selected by Steve. Then go through a screening process.

Last I heard you had to be atleast 21 and served in the armed forces. But I think Steve has changed the body cavity search to just fingerprinting.

I think dedication, previous farmed pokemon etc would come into play.

From what I remember, it is farmer popularity, age is a factor, a voice chat on the DS, and activity. It use to be like an event a week or something.

I'm not sure if age is a factor. As long as you're not too young, I guess. I'm 17 and Steve invited me to go main site. But really, if you work hard and have good breeds, you will be recognized. Your best bet as of now is to try earning yourself a sub-forum farm.

1 event will not get you onto the main site. To my knowledge I have been the only forum farmer asked to do a main site farm. I think Nak was being considered. At the time I said no. It was like 1 event a week and I just did not have the time to run the Gym, breed for the Gym, keep my farm running, and produce 1 event for the main site. My events take some time to build.

i know that im not going to be invited in 2 breeding atempts. i can not do an event a week(homework, exams, revision all to make bored)

The 1 event a week has been removed I think. Last I heard it was like 2 a month or something.

At the time I said no.Actually, Steve invited me to go main site the same day he asked me to be the Fen Gym Leader. But I turned it down as well, because I was (and still am) too busy.

Doing a main site breed, seems awesome. I've only participated in like one or two of the events so far, since I'm unavailable for a lot of the times. Breeding such a large quantity of pokemon is exhausting, especially since I'm so picky about natures.*bred 42 nidoran for my current event* My hat's off to anyone who does it though.

This is all very intersting. Maybe I can start thinking of this when I'm more established here, but for now I'm happy just happy being an occasional breeder. :)

I'm thinking of doing a tyrant series next... Or something. We'll see!
