So, Master and I have been throwing around the idea of holding the tournament, we will also be participating. The rules would be as followed:

Single Level 100
6V6
Standard Rules(Sleep, Evasion, Species Clauses)
No Item Clause
No Luck Items(Bright Power, Focus Band, Quick Claw, etc... )
No Ubers
Legends are allowed, but are limited to 2 per team.

We'd like to know how many people would be interested in competing. For prizes we have a Japanese Celebi, TRU Manaphy, 10th Anniversary Mew, and some others(I'm still hunting for more events, so these aren't certain yet). This is just the idea, seeing as we haven't fully worked out the details. The tournament will probably start on the 25th of March.

So there is no confusion, here are the legendaries that are not considered Uber and are allowed in this tournament:
#144 Articuno - #145 Zapdos - #146 Moltres
#243 Raikou - #244 Entei - #245 Suicune
#480 Uxie - #481 Mesprit - #482 Azelf

It sounds great but I'm not that confident about my battling style - my idea of a strategy is "beat them up until they faint", which isn't exactly tournament material.

Well, that ok. I would encourage the inexperienced trainer to participate, since you'd get to see the strategies of the more experienced battlers on the forum. Win or lose, it would be a good learning experience, I think you should battle.:-D

Question, what time is it over in the USA? It's about 1:00pm February 29th here in Australia. If the time difference is too big, I wouldn't be able to participate.

You'll have 3-4 days to complete you challenge and report the results of your matches, so as long as you can get it done with in the time frame, it'll be fine. Though you'll have to figure out the time difference for your opponent. The time here is 6:17pm Pacific Standard Time.

That's the spirit, I hope we can attract more less experienced members, especially since you'll get to see some pokemon you normally see here. I guess I'll make a list of interested members now.

Also the no luck item is a bit odd to me. You have removed the No Item Clause, but added a No Luck Item Clause, kinda ironic.

This sounds like fun. :) Scheduling the battles might be a bit hard for me because of work, but I think I want to be part of a tourneyment like this. :) It would be fun to see how well I'd fair.

I know I don't have a chance at winning, but I'm trying to improve my battling style so I'd like to try to participate. Problem is I think my campus moved the WiFi hubs so that it doesn't reach my apartment anymore. But if it's still having problems, I'm going to try to exchange my Wii Lan Adapter for a wireless router that will work for both Wii and DS when I go home for Spring Break (which is luckily right before when this tourney should be held). How much time in advance would I need to announce that I can't participate, if I fail at obtaining a wireless router? (My car died a painful death so it's not as easy as just heading over to Wal*Mart :( )

Nope, the battles are set at level 100, I never have free battles since, I just don't have the time to raise my team to level 100. Hehe, does that mean you're in Buzz? I'd love to face you outside of the gym, and I'm sure I'm not the only one feels this way. I have no issues with luck items, where as Master wanted to ban Bright Powder, so we just banned them all so there would be no confusion. *sighs* I'll just have to leave poor HaxChomp out of this one, lol!

Three days would be adequate enough for me to find a replacement if you had to drop out. I'll add you to the list for now though.

Well I will tell you what I was told when I said that the Evasion Clause needed added. You should have a Pokemon with a never miss attack or in your case a Sunny Day Pokemon.


Na I just think that blocking certain items is not ideal for a tournament, but at the same time if a person needs to take advantage of certain unbalances in the game, then that is just sad. I know, win at all cost right.

Maybe you should hold a prize or make it different. In my tourney you can use Legendaries, pokemon that you would normally not use here. Maybe you should try something different. On another note, we've got 11 entries so far guys and gals. All we need is one more entry to make it an even dozen.
