Chapter 3- The Contest Build Up
‘Hay Blake why you running so fast’ I inquired.
‘The next city is just ahead, and there’s a contest there in 2 days’ Blake shouted back.
‘Why such the rush’ I asked.
‘Wow you’ve never been to the build up of a contest have you?’ Blake sniggered.
He was right I had never been to a contest before, it was kind of exciting. I saw a big tower in the distance, Blake explained that the tower provided power for the town, and the town was cutting down on electricity. When he told me this my mind sprung back to sunnyshore, I had been on holiday there many a time.
I saw the massive gate appear on the horizon, on it in big gold letters there was ‘WELCOME TO ENDLEN TOWN’. But rising from the gate I saw a huge Hydro Cannon appear. Blake and me decided to have a race to the town.
When we arrived there I was shocked by the amount of trainers coming here. The were people training moves with there pokemon.
‘Blake don’t you need two pokemon to enter?’ I asked.
‘Ahhhhhhh I forgot about that’ Shouted Blake.
‘Don’t worry the road we went on had loads of pokemon, especially near the gate’ I explained.
So we headed of to the gate looked around, and I was right, loads of pokemon.
‘Man what one to get thou’ Blake asked.
‘Hay the tediursa seems interested in you, give it something like an apple’ I said.
I had to pass him an apple thou.
‘Man that was lunch’ I wisped.
Blake coaxed the teddiursa to him, teddiursa took the apple, when it sniffed it a little bit, rubbed it a little bit, and it finally ate it, whole.
Blake now sent out pidgey, wanting to battle, but teddiursa seemed a bit confused. But pidgey explained to it what Blake wanted to do, and then teddiursa suddenly used a Slash on pidgey.
‘Pidgey use aerial ace now!’ Blake shouted.
Teddiursa got hit hard and fell back, then it used Fake Tears, pidgey was worried and went to teddiursa, but teddiursa came back with another slash.
‘Don’t fall for those things anymore, now use whirlwind’ Exclaimed Blake.
Teddiursa got hit into a tree, and then tried Fake Tears again; it didn’t work, so teddiursa used rest.
‘Quickly use a poke ball whilst it’s a sleep’ I shouted.
So Blake threw a poke ball, does it work? No! It got out fully healed.
‘Pidgey hold a whirlwind on it’ Blake Exclaimed.
Whilst doing this Blake threw another poke ball, it worked.
‘Yes I caught a Teddiursa, ill call him Teddy’ Blake shouted.
We went back into the city, and Blake started training with Pidgey & Teddiursa, he had some really nice combos going. Whirlwind then flying into it, at the top using feather dance. So many moves from Pidgey. Teddiursa was using his Fake Tears to gain sympathy then slash for style, rest then snore to wake itself up for style.
‘Were ready’ Shouted Blake
‘Umm we got two days left, keep training. But for tonight we should rest at the pokemon center’ I said.
So we went to the pokemon center and slept. After one more day of hard training Blake was perfecting his combinations, he was really ready.
We went back to the pokemon center slept, rose in the morning, and went to the contest stadium. Blake now had to register. After doing all this, he was told he was going first. After 1 hour of waiting Blake took the stage.
‘Pidgey Take The Stage!’ Shouted Blake!
