Shinies

I know we can't use hacks, or clones, but what about shineies (that are made out to you)? I know that shinues are sopulst to have better stats then normal.

actually a pokemon being shiny doesn't give it better stats, it just makes it a different color.

so i'm willing to bet you can use them in gym battles.

In fact a lot of shinies have worse stats as you can't breed stats on a caught pokemon. Unless you synch chain a bunch and get some good RNG's =D Even then egg moves are out. But yes they are usable in Gyms.

Ok just wandering because I read some where that shinies have better stats. I guess they were wrong.

Shiny Pokemon did have slightly better stats on average in Gold/Silver/Crystal, but never after that.

Back in the day, shininess used to be tied with the pokemon's unseen stats (IV's). However, now in the Gen III & IV games, shininess is simply tied to the player's ID & personality value of the pokmon -- so no more correlation between stats & shine.
