This may sound odd but i have NEVER heard of these games. Can someone explain to me the game?

This game is about different nintendo characters battle for each other.:Theres kirby,sonic,pikachu and other pokemon,captain falcon and other cool characters .I understand that you never heard of the game because its only available in America and not in the UK.:)

i read somewhere that the wii is region free. does that mean i could import it?
